Welp I finally did it I shot 244-257-300 = 801 for my first ever 800 and both were sanctioned at league. Thanks for all the great comments. Always nice to have so many rooting for you.

This guy is from my area. Just bowled next to him on league last night! Guy is great!

So many great bowlers would’ve acted like such a douchebag losing a match like that. Kudos to you Packy for being humble and having good conversation throughout the match rather than locking down and not talking or bitching about the shots he got away with. I’ve always loved the sport and try to bring in new people to the game. I’m always rooting for the opponent. I love when they bowl well. I usually bowl better as well.

@@TheHouseBowling I know the feeling. For our Friday night league night, it always seems like our opponent bowls their personal best against us 😅. Last week we had a 163 average Bowler shoot their first 650... When their team gets 109 pins of handicap per game, how do you beat that?! 🤷🏽 🤣🤣🤣

@Mogachaffe my team on Wednesdays about 5 years ago (very nonchalant league) seemed to bring the best out of people as well. We had a head to head scoring system... I bowled against an old gentleman who was almost 90 years old with 123 pins of handicap.... he shot 500 against me... needless to say with my 4 pins I got absolutely smoked lmao. I shot 750 🤣🤣... and lost by well over 100...

When I struck on a ball that I didn't like, I'd always tell my team mates that "I threw that one just bad enough!"

Y'all should've bowled a 3rd game to see if he would have shot 800 for the first time. This pressure is probably more than league and he's on 2 lanes, @USBC give this man another ring.

Mike's swing is excellent because he doesn't turn his hips when the downswing starts. He creates the torsion needs just before the arm comes down ... like in golf ... you have to 'turn out' your hips before the arms start to come down.

Mike throws it like he took no more than 2 months off. Dayum

That was pretty impressive. Yeah he got a few good carries, but he threw the ball ridiculously well. Nice job Mike! Fun to watch a 300 like that.

That was inspiring. I have been struggling in league. Everyone has been beating me. I can not get a single break. I have tried several balls, and nada. I have switched to the purple. Maybe, that will solve the problem. But, seeing Pack struggle has inspired me to continue on!

Had to get the original off your hand pretty much dead on and it was the pinnacle of "Stop throwing urethane or my ball will act like there's teflon in front of the head pin". Someone in my Tuesday league broke 730 with the re-release. EDIT: Ok never mind. Pocket 5-10 is inexcusable for resin with an engine if it's 15 or 16 lb lol. Plastic can get that out

Considering that ball was from Chris Via, it makes sense that Mike would bowl 300 when Via did it twice on tv, Via knows his bowling balls!

When pin five stands strong after the first throw, everyone who raises their hand and the thrower misses the pin, they get a Jagermeister shot or beer from the thrower😂 but if the thrower hit's it, nothing happens. That is a fun addition to bowling and creates pressure to the thrower!
