For 220 avg, watch your approach from behind. Your elbow is getting way away from your side causing a lot of inconsistency. Watch simo or belmo vids from behind and see how their elbows are tucked to their side.

Could the reason Forrest's spare ball carries so well be that since it travels straighter and doesn't change much direction and thus has more energy ?

. Im thinking about getting a ball for spares so my question is what type of ball should i get as far as core and cover. symmetrical perhaps to help it stay straight. should i get it finger tip like my strike ball and just throw it flat handed or get it drilled for straight bowling. should i get it as 16lb like my strike ball or go lighter to pick up speed keep it straighter. All this may make for a interesting youtube vid also.

If you are looking to get a spare ball, I would recommend getting a plastic ball. They have no core and will not hook. This way you can throw your spare ball like your strike ball at your spares and it will not hook. You won’t have to flat hand your release. I would also stick with the same weight on all of your bowling balls.
