Stoicism suggests getting sold the illusions of others reduces our inner worth... in contrast, we could consider; what does believing in the virtue and wisdom of others do for our inner worth? It sounds tricky, doesn't it... believing/buying in anything has risks. Acceptance seems the same but it proceeds differently, in a more liberating mannor, within our being, then devoting energy believing something, why this is the case is complicated.
