A Star Hub and Drum Brake on a Late Model Springer Front End?!
This is something that I have always wanted to try. I put an early star hub wheel and drum brake on a later model Harley springer. This was you get the solid action from the advanced springer and retain the classic drum brake look. It will be a sweet setup on my buddies shovel.

Ill be doing something very similar shortly. I have an 18" wheel with a drum brake, from an old Sportster. I will be using a replica Springer and will be doing the same stuff there.

Cool, so you’re using a hamburger drum? I’ve never put one on a springer but it would be cool.

Man I've been dreaming of doing this for awhile myself. I'm in the process of collecting parts and then find someone capable of doing the work. Where about in Tennessee is your shop ?

40's. That setup was pretty much the same from knuckles to first year panhead.
