“Great video! The detailed explanation on how to properly sharpen an axe was incredibly insightful. I especially appreciated the emphasis on safety and the step-by-step guidance. The key takeaway for me is the importance of regular maintenance to ensure tools perform at their best and to prevent accidents. Thanks for sharing such valuable tips

Seems like a lot of effort just to put an edge on it ,just a few rubs on either side with the grinder works just fine👍

@OdinLothbrok Apparently you did not understand my comment. I get it's a common sense tool. What I don't get is why would someone like yourself get on here and bust somebody's balls about how they're doing it when you're not making a video yourself showing how to do it.

@jeffcornelison888 Th comment wasn't personal but I do see tons of videos people do who don't know have a clue about what they are doing. You did a good job, just not the old way I am old and find it difficult to change. I apologize sir.

The only time you'd do this to an ax is if you were strictly using it as a weapon. Try chopping wood with this edge and you'll be redoing it within a few hits. The edge is too slim.

I very seen 2 people (1 was me) slice their finger, very seriously, cutting kindling with a super sharp axe. Happened almost instantly. Never ever have I sharpened like that again. Been burning wood for approximately 45 years.

WOW, I don't know where to start. That is a hatchet my good man! Any cutting edges should be sharpened on a static machine like a bench grinder or a linisher at a push. Finally, have you ever tried using a razor to cut down a tree? I did, I started in 1997, still working on it now, 2 billion razors used so far! 😂

A sharp ax dulls very quickly, I know by experience.. there is only one reason to have a razor sharp ax is to cut off arms, legs, head.. And that will still cause your ax to dull very rapidly.
