Willie is so well liked by the country music community. When he was having to sell off all of his belongings to pay his IRS debt. The stars all came together and bought his stuff and gave it back to him. He is a great man, they say.

While many stars visited him in the hospital (big stars like Sam Jackson), Willie and Woody Harrelson visited him at the house in Maui.

"I consider myself a rebel. So, I have family and go to church..." Dude, I laughed so hard. That truly is rebellious these days. I'm with ya.

Willie Nelson actually predates the Outlaw Country movement. He spent years writing hit songs for other country artists and trying to break into the big time. He had modest success on the radio stations of the time but was considered a mediocre vocalist and was known more for his songwriting than his singing. Then he left Nashville for Austin and suddenly Willie was a household name. But Willie is about as country as you can get.

I love how Willie not only doesnt look sorry, but he looks proud thay he about "took out" his friends with his weed 🤣🤣🤣

There's a very good article about Toby & Willie. Toby had a day or 2 off in a very long time. He was watching a Willie Show & he was also going to watch a game of one of his buddies basketball game. Willie came down & was chatting with Toby & said man you ought to come to the bus & hang til time for the game. So Toby said okay. Willie ended up talking Toby into smoking a little cuz he doesn't really smoke. Willie's stuff is his own grows it, sells it etc..Amyway Toby said he don't remember going back to his room. But he slept like 2days. He missed going to the game and it ate all the little bit of free time he had!! Willie doesn't somoke anymore due to lung problems. He just does the edibles & they're his, so I'm sure they work!! Love this song!! Sending prayes for Toby Keith battling stomach cancer! 😥🙏❤️ He's such a great guy! Always doing tours for our service men & women!! The last time he sang for them was recently. Even though he was sick & looked so skinny & frail, he still done another concert for them!! This was a event honoring Willie Nelson that I believe was on CMT that used to be a country music video station. I smoke weed for chronic pain and it’s the best thing I’ve ever had and for me it’s not habit forming. I did get some of Willie’s brand and it’s really good.

Billy Bob's in Ft. Worth, just west of Dallas is great! Gilley's in Dallas is great! I have lived in Dallas/Ft. Worth and Houston the majority of my life. My siblings all live in Austin. I am headed back home as soon as my son goes off to college. Texas is great and Austin has an amazing live music scene! Live music capital of the world.

"Whiskey River" is a huge Willie Nelson hit.

Brother used to be on Austin SWAT. Still lives there.

Gruene Hall in Gruene(New Braunfels) is oldest continuously operated dance hall in Texas, has great live music.
