A simple way to be an LGBTQ+ ally | Keegan Thoranin | TEDxLFHS
Have you ever considered active listening as a starting point to being an LGBTQ+ ally? In his TEDxLFHS talk, Keegan Thoranin discusses his experiences as a trans student, and he makes the case for everyone to develop active listening to better connect with and respect diverse individuals in our lives. Keegan Thoranin is a senior at LFHS who can usually be summoned using a good book, a cup of tea, and a nature documentary. He may be on his way to majoring in Animal Sciences at UIUC, but he wants to make a pit stop at TEDxLFHS for the first time to share his passion about being aware of and respecting the diversity of the world! He’s working towards being a veterinarian by day and an artist by night, and hopes that all the trans kids who read this know that they are stronger than they may think. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

OMG, how can you love public speaking? I am so envious. Young, smart, articulate and a public speaker: You are the whole package. 👌
Your voice is the most powerful thing in your body.
