I was a little emotional when I saw this but I did not expect what happened to happen. I bursted into tears at “I am ok”- crying harder & harder for about a dozen reps before I could say it without crying. I waited until I could say it 3X without crying- & I did, but I am crying again now. I am going to do this daily, thank you❤

During the last two years sometimes I would lay in bed and envision the next bad thing that was going to happen. I'd have to repeat to myself , today was a good and normal day, I am safe right here and I am grateful for this moment. Not the exact same but it helped me calm down when I would spiral.

That's amazing ! Thank you so much ! Another point to note is that when we place hands on our chest, oxytocin gets produced in our bodies (the calm hormone, or happy hormone. ) In our culture, when we pray everyday, we place our hands on the chest and recite somewhat similar affirmations, invoking the help of the Divine and His Mercy. It makes me feel so relieved and calm, especially when I'm going through anxieties or feeling depressed, or feeling afraid. It feels like a very warm and gentle hug !

👍🫶I’ve been doing something similar for the last 10 years. I have a mantra I repeat over and over…. “All is well, in this moment all is well”. I keep repeating it until I’m calm or fall asleep. Sometimes I say it when I’m stressed and can’t sleep, while meditating, or I hugging myself by crossing my hands/arms over my shoulders while laying down. It forces me to stay present in the moment and clear my mind. Wishing you all the very best. 🙏🫶💫✨💝

Hi Mel, last Saturday I woke up with extreme euphoria and energy after months of anxiety and depression as well as daily suicide thoughts. Since then the energy has dwindled down, but I constantly feel euphoria with enhanced senses like taste ,pleasure, driving. My eyes even feel alert. And I've even caught myself randomly smiling. Conflicts and things that don't go right are not bothering me like they were. It feels good right now.

I have a thing I do in times like this. Right or wrong, it seems to work. There's an old Star Trek episode where they encounter a thing that looks like a giant piece of okra. It eats everything in its path. They couldn't get around it, so the captain that lost the most decided that he was going to be the one to end it. He took his ship, damn the torpedos and rammed right down the throat of it. It blew up and that was the end of the giant piece of okra. That's kind of how I see things like this. Either ram it down the throat or spend the rest of your life tiptoeing, waiting for it to eat you. I know. Very sophisticated, but it seems to work for me.

That is SO on point. Anxiety is the state of mind and hormones we experience when our brain perceives a possible threat.. it is the precursor to fight or flight. Great if a tiger is chasing you not ideal every freaking morning when you pick up your phone. Working with the heart is absolutely the way to go and I love this. I also use simple heart brain coherence techniques for this as it expands the heart and mind into the awareness of spirit.. the place we know we will never die and once we feel that expansion and know we are immortal beings in temporary human bodies anxiety vanishes. It is literally impossible to feel anxiety when we are aligned with Spirit.. this always works!

I’ve seen a bunch of your shorts and I agree with you that it’s time for not just powerful women voices in the space, but voices that fill an absence that is very tangible. I agree that you are on it. Constructively I encourage you to stop using everyone and other forms of absolutes that are simply not true. You do this frequently. It would be an easy shift that I think would make you come across much more clearly. I don’t mean to pick on you, I just think language does matter and it’s important to make statements That don’t cloud issues with internal contradictions. Thank you for being you. On several occasions in particular you are speaking right into my weaknesses and I am grateful.
