My dad was a marine pilot' Pilot T.T. Tetteh of GPHA. He was a Ga-Dangme as well. He was one of the Young Pioneers and was sent to the then Yugoslavia to be trained as a pilot by Dr Kwame Nkrumah . He was very instrumental in shaping the maritime industry and oil exploration in the Saltpond Basin

I'm a kwahu/Ashanti I lived in adabraka for sometime growing up! In ga communities there is never a dull moment, talking about food to buy, food everywhere, entertainment, they have a great sense of humor! They are loud n can insult too, hahaha! I think Ga women generally are very hard working but not ambitious enough, they don't strife to do better mostly because they either live in houses for free or have family close to cater for them but all in all Ga people are interesting to be around, I learnt the language kakra so when they insult I also reply ooo

Ga's have the tradition of living together as one family so they can help each other, is the reason why we don't mind sharing our homes and communities with anyone who comes to settle with us. Now the Ga's has been taken for a fool because of that. But a time is coming things will change. God is our help🙏🏽

My great-grandfather was the Ga-Dangbme, sponsored Dr KWAME Nkrumah financially, the land they used to build the whole Tema and Dodowa was my great grandfather’s but no one talks about it, it was only former president Kuffor when he came to power, he decided to compensate our family so gave us some land at shai hill which is now been used for family farm, he also decided to give us another one at kpone, but he didn’t complete it before he left, and that was the end, so Ga-Dangbme people played huge part in development of Ghana

Of course. There were Akan quarters in GA Mashie where the remidors and Akan traders and 'refugees' used to live. Also Otubluhom was the settlement created by Otu in the 1680s who was an Akwamu royal so there are many Gas who are actually Akan by heritage but now consider themselves Ga. However they retain their Akan language and festivals.

Your Mums were giving you money while in the Asanteland the kids were feeding the mums. Do you see the difference? So the Asantes will never joke when they travel abroad. Abroad means traveling from the Asante land to other parts of the country i.e Accra, Cape coast, etc They should have worked hard to maintain the Ga language. Now the Asante-Twi seems to be the most spoken language in major areas of Accra.

You should have asked him why the Gas are losing their lands just like that. The Gas keeps selling all their lands. I can't understand why a Ga family will sell a vast land yet keep living in poverty. I can't understand it at all. Go to those who sold Ablekuma lands, Joma, Bokoboko, etc. These guys have sold large acres of land and one cannot see the impact of the proceeds. It's about time we manage Ghana from the regional point. Let every region start asking serious questions and let's see the problems. You cannot sell all Accra lands now. The lands belong to not only the living people but to both the born and unborn babies. I feel scared of the inheritance of the unborn natives. A time will come for the newborn to initiate legal actions against their people and claim the lands. They will seek interpretation as to whether not born means you are or not part of the family properties. What about, I'm available now, so whats and where is my share? can they prove their case by making an argument that it was illegal for selling the lands without their involvement? If I'm part of the family then I should have a stake in family properties. *Delay is not denial* so I need my share. 😃😃😃😃 This might sound weird but wait for it.
