We take our Lance 825 Truck Camper to South Dakota to explore Badlands National Park in 48-hours. That may not seem like enough time, but we were able to drive the entire scenic byway, venture off-road to see its expansive prairie, hike two incredible trails (Notch Trail and Door Trail), see a paleontologist work on ancient fossils at the visitor center, and take a day trip to the nearby tourist destinations of Wall Drug and the Minuteman Missile Site. Watch now to see the the way we did it!

This was my first national park I visited. That ladder was no joke! We stayed at sage creek campground and heard the coyotes at night and bison wandering on the road in the morning on the way to rapid city. Was a magical place!

That sounds incredible!! It really is a special place. Next time we definitely want to stay inside the park… and will probably skip that ladder trail 😅

I loved the video. You do such a wonderful job showing us lands we would never see. Although the steps were very scary. I’m glad you both made it up and back safely. Thank you for a beautiful video. Stay safe

We boondocked N of there and only had one day in the park. Towing our trailer too... The pullouts on The Scenic Drive all accomdate smallish RVs - I loved that! And I love that it's a free range park - walk whereever, but we had our nutcase over excitable dog and once she saw a few bison, uh well we did no walking... Very cool you got that one bison scratching himself!

How cool! It’s such a great park! We can relate with owning a nutcase of a dog, this video however was pre-Hatch 😂 Also just subscribed to your channel! We’re from GA so we watched the Vogel one right away!

I have a Lance 1685 that I am planning on taking out this year to see the sights. I figure I get my VA disability if I sit at home or get out and see the country... so I am going to get out there, plus I am not getting any younger... South Dakota is the first state that I plan on seeing, boondocking as I go, or using my disabled park card to get half off at established camp sites.

When did you make this trip? It doesn't look like Winter. Was this filmed during the fall perhaps? Thanks. I enjoy your posts.

This was filmed before we adopted Hatch. We still have a handful of pre-dog videos to post, but don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of adventures with Hatch soon enough!! 🐕
