    Nelson 10 I don’t think lemony is even real. I mean, unless the story of the Baudelaire orphans is true, because we all know at the end Beatrice said 'Hello mr snicker I’m you’re niece Beatrice Baudelaire the second' meaning that Snicket was related to Baudelaire. Also Jacques Snicket was in there, and the Snicket file from the library of records. So unless lemony tied up his family with a made up story about unfortunate children, or it’s all real, Lemony Snicket does not exist.

    Not going to lie, I cried really hard during this part. Can’t believe it’s over. Feels like when I finished the last book. I’m going to miss it so much. I’ve always looked up to Violet, Klaus, and even Sunny. This series finally got the adaptation it deserved. Unpopular opinion, but I preferred this Netflix series to the original movie. The movie was rushed, and the casting wasn’t right in my opinion. NPH portrayed a phenomenal Olaf, and Malina and Louis are perfect for Violet and Klaus. I just wish it wasn’t over yet. I wish there was more for all of us in V.F.D. It’s been an amazing ride. Thank you ASOUE. The world is quiet here, volunteers.

    @@OWmyDragonballz yeah same goes for the books. The difference is that in the books they kind of retcon things to fit into the volunteer fire department story, and the show had it from the beginning. I do think that giving all of the bad things that happened in their life a common cause and meaning kind of gets rid of the original point though. You know the whole point is that sometimes bad things happen to good people for no good reason.

    I absolutely love that part from 1:07, where it's just Olaf singing. He didn't get his happy ending either. His story was also "all sorrows and woes". Now that we know it, we can hear how sad he was while singing about two parents, "both brave and both true". He was remembering his own father. Olaf is a villain. A murderer. He's evil. And I think he got what he deserved in the end, and he knew it himself, that's why he refused to eat the apple at first. He deserved to be punished for his crimes. But he also deserved to be remembered. That's why that scene with his grave hit me so much. Edit: also, when it says "you might dream that justice and peace wins the day" and focuses in the photo of the librarian(I'm sorry, I don't remember her name) is one of the strongest scenes in the whole song. Like... You would think that such a good person would survive. But that's not how this story goes

    As Lemony Snicket said that he stopped his research in the Hotel Denoument, I always had the theory that maybe the last book was just fiction actually written by Lemony Snicket to give a happy ending to the Baudelaires. Being realistic and taking the books as canon, probably the orphans and Olaf died in the sea. The island would be then an imaginary place conceived by Snicket as a heaven where the Baudelaires could finally get rid of Count Olaf and rest peacefully. Despite all the trouble with Ish, the island is the only place where Olaf couldn't trick people with a disguise. I know this theory is really depressing, but it's realistic and goes with the vibes of misery and desperation from the books.

  • @johncage417

    @johncage417

    Жыл бұрын

    I actually like your theory better than the ending... don't get me wrong, it's nice seeing it had a "happy" ending but speaking realistically this was what truly happened. I don't remember well in the books if count Olaf also gets rid of the canned food, throw Sunny to the see and the Baudeliere orphans tried killing him or if it was added by the series but if you took that into context it'd make sense that it was just a "representation" of how they'd already ran out of food and were both parties desperate. I agree with you.

    Although that's a good theory, if what happened on the island never actually happened, then in the last scene, he never would have met Beatrice(kits child) as there honestly would have been no other way she survived form the submarine and safely delivered her child. Also her kids name is Beatrice Baudelaire which never would have come about had she not been raised by the Baudelaires. But honestly I wish your theory was true amd I like it better than the actual ending.

    No happy endings, just sorrow and woes, for the Baudelaires who just wanted to live in peace with a guardian. They can't catch a break, and every "good" adult either failed to help them or died trying. The bad ones trying to steal their fortunes mostly got away with it. They were abandoned by justice, by a secret organisation they knew nothing about. Man, that hits you deep in the feels. I'm not crying, you're crying!

No closure on whether he Baudelaires survive, just that final shot with them stuck on the boat with Olaf. I have read and... honestly, the ending we got probably works better in the medium. This is a Netflix series, not a book series released over many years.

    This reprised version really hits hard...showing us pictures of people and events in the past. I have truly enjoyed this series. Very well done.

    This was indeed the tragic tale of 3 who went through the vast fearful danger. But maybe one day, peace follows; the world is quiet here.

    I think Olaf is one of the most deepest characters ever and even tho evil is wise about the noble and the schism.RIP KIT AND OLAF

    Finally! I thought I was the only one who isn't just hating on Olaf. True, he does a lot of evil stuff, he murders good people and is more than a pain in the neck for the Beaudelaires... but man, what a character. It might also have to do with NPH's great acting and insanely beautiful voice, but that tragic back story and deep character for a villain makes this particular rendition of Olaf one of my favourite characters ever.

    It was the flashbacks that got me sobbing. If this song doesn’t make Spotify, I’m writing a strongly worded complaint

    what i love about this is that it teaches how we have to be grateful and have to accept unfortunate things
