A Quiet Morning Walk Through the Small Idyllic English Village of Tackley || English Countryside
Tackley is a small English village in the English Countryside with a mixture of period cottages, converted buildings and modern houses.
Tackley has existed since Saxon times and the name Tackley is probably derived from ‘tack’ (the pre 7th century Danish ‘tacca’), meaning sheep or ewes, and the Anglo-Saxon ‘leah’ (-ley), meaning a glade, clearing or enclosure.
Tackley is tucked away close to the Oxfordshire Canal, the River Cherwell and north east of Woodstock, Tackley character village has many stone buildings and its railway station.

Was brought up in tackley from the age of 4 and stayed for a further 25 years loved every minute a truly loverly village with train station river and canal within reach from 2 different locations within 1 mile and the loverly church too. . a nice sunny day early morning walk by yourself made it really pleasant video well done

It's nice to see my part of the country getting so much you tube coverage. There seems to be more appearing all the time. My parents were actually living in Tackley when I was born. We moved to Islip when I was four and a half then to KIdlington when I was 19. Islip has grown a lot since i liked there.
