A Quick fix "Altering" my shorts for vacation!

I bought these awesome shorts a few years ago at Tommy Bahama in Florida. This last year I have lost a lot of weight and they didn't fit anymore. They also, never fit around the legs. The legs were very wide and now look very baggy.
I was getting ready to go on vacation and really wanted to do something to make them fit. I didn't want to just get rid of them and buy new shorts because I spent a lot of money on them!
I am definitely not a sewing kind of girl but, I thought I would see what I could do. Hey, worse case scenario, they couldn't look any worse than they already did!
I decided to make this an easy fix and not really go through the real way to alter these shorts. I should have torn out the side seams and the hem on both the inseam and the outside seam to do this properly, but I am still in the process of losing more weight and will probably be taking them in a bit further soon. I also wanted them to be ready for vacation in a few days.
With the "half baked" way I did the alterations on these shorts, I couldn't have been happier. They fit nicely, they weren't bulky on the inside and I was ready to take them to the beach!
The fabric fuse tape can be found at Walmart and comes in a stick on and also an iron on. I believe so,some told me that it also comes in a few different widths. I've never seen it myself. I love this stuff. It works amazingly well and sticks like crazy. Even through the washer and dryer!
