So sappy and emotional, makes me think this whole video was scripted, and there was extra editing behind the scenes. The Spiffing Brit intended this story from the get go. It's all fake, everything is fake. Adrian does not exist.

When your 1 citizen has a split personality and keeps committing crimes against himself. Then he has to use his third split personality who is a police officer to go and try and arrest himself but unfortunately he is never home. Then he goes back to his 4th or 5th personality as a power distribution manager or bulldozer operator as needed.

It's more of a spinoff (or Spiffoff)

That whole complaining of crime whilst being the only person in the city made me laugh myself to tears. Adrian suddenly screams, "Help! Help! I've been mugged!" But if anyone was actually there, they'd see he dropped his wallet on the ground only to pick it up again and start screaming about being mugged. Now we truly know what that medical clinic really was (although the lovely padded walls should've been a dead giveaway) - and speaking of dead, the city needs a graveyard so that the legacy of Adrian can be interred in perpetuity somewhere near his statue for future civilizations to find. Then, after a millennia, he'll be found and deified. The Church of the One - the Adrianic Faith! All Hail Adrian!

I think we can all agree that Adrian was the true exploiter here, knowing that the town revolves around him and forcing Spiff to give him everything he wants

I came for the gameplay breaking, I stayed for Adrian! That was the greatest story I never expected to see in a city simulator game. Better than any AAA experience released in the last 10 years. No joke. Adrian's happy ending made it all the worthwhile!😄

Really happy for Adrian. After a long life alone in a perfect but secluded existance finally finding love in his old age. I think he may have become my favorite character in any video game ever!

22:43 it's these kinds of subtle edits that really show Spiff's attention to detail, not just as a Destroyer of Games, but as an entertainer.

since only a few months passed in game, I believe that Adrian purposefully retired to not afford rent and get evicted because of how creepy the government was being with the tourist industry, but the year long contract's fine print said he had to stay in town after they named everything after him so he ended up homeless for the rest of the year.

I am legit so happy city skylines decided to allow you to play this despite what you do to games. It shows how they are being transparent and makes me excited to see the final release. I wanna preorder the game so badly now. I never do but this maybe an exception.

you can wishlist games instead of pre ordering you get notified when they come out and make a decision then. Or with steam you can pre order and refund if the game isnt your cup of tea

It will release and you will play it at the same time, whether you give them money before or after the release. Considering Adrian spent most of his life alone in his house observing tourists... it's possible he went homeless and relocated to his statue to be one with the one thing spiff didn't give him. Someone to talk to. Being homeless probably greatly helped him develop some people skills so by the time he was able to move into an apartment he had a home and the skills to finally make a lasting connection with another human being and get everything he ever wanted in this city built for him.

Props for Adrian for not only being the only citizen of New Tealand, but also being homeless, and getting married. A true lad he is.

Adrian's character arc was very exciting, I cant wait to see what kind of life Adrian will live in my playthrough!

Please give us more Cities Skylines II shenanigans! :D And Adrian is such an example to us all

This was really touch-n-go. I was concerned for Adrian there towards the end(i kept shouting at my monitor “BUILD A RETIREMENT HOME!” as there were retirement homes in the first game), but he ended up having a happy ending. Things i like about the game is being able to Export, but more importantly, the addition of dogs. Because DOGS! :D I hope we can see other pets and maybe even more animals in the future. Like people needing to have an Animal control center to deal with Raccoons and bears getting in their trash.

@@lumbagoboi1649 It's somewhat of a center of engineering marvels with stuff like the Burj Khalifa, and the basic concept of this oasis city in the desert is pretty cool.. but you couldn't pay me enough to spend my time and money supporting their economic and political leaders who are genuinely some of the worst people on the planet. The amount of that city that's been built by borderline slave labor is disgusting.

So much fun watching Adrian grow , this was gold!

Yeah, they had to, the company said the city could only reach a certain size and that any video's made couldn't be longer than 30 minutes in length. Looking forward to seeing more when the embargo is lifted.

If a homeless senior citizen can find love, there is hope for us all. All thanks to the brilliant city planning of Spiff.

the grandiose buildings and empty streets remind me of Pyongyang. but i wouldn't expect Spiff to build any other city anyway, so all is in order.

I love the import/export mechanics! Like YES finally! Also love the dogs and tangible concept of homelessness! Once this game is complete it will be good fr. I can see a lot of improvements coming up!

I'd like to think that Adrian is the real life Biffa, who heard that New Tealand was being ported into Cities: Skylines II and wanted in.

I hope none of these glitches are fixed and are instead added to a custom 'Spiff Mode' when starting a city. Another brilliant video Soiff, bravo and a good Day-drian to you!

Just so you know, you can terraform some raised land to produce max wind speed for turbines. I usually make a section that is just a large hill to harvest wind power.

Amazing looks really fun, hope these weird experiments still work when the game releases.

Can you check in the settings/difficulty if there is any option to make road construction take time? Like the growable buildings, so a road does not appear immediately. There were rumours with the cinematic trailer, because of the shown bridge construction, that road constructions might be an added realism/difficulty option.
