I bought the dash and bezel from LMC truck like you and I can't say enough good things about them And no I didn't take the dash completely out . I've managed to get the Job done anyone can do this and I appreciate what you guy's do.

I always pull the entire dash out and do the replacement on the table.... it’s the only way to get to every single screw on the back side... takes a little more time but I like to know that it’s all clean. Typically a good time to replace the vac line that runs through the fire wall on the passenger side as well as heater core and ac condenser

I loved my 2nd gen wish I still had it. It was exactly like yours same color ! I have a 08 Dually now and liked the 2nd gen better .

Strange, I had a 97, 2000, and a 2002. All 2500 diesels. I put over a million kms combined on all 3. Not one had a cracked dash. Did they have different suppliers, some better than others?

My dad has had one of those for almost twenty years, but it has never had this problem

Did you need to buy/replace the aftermarket clips for the bezel?

If I remember right, it came with all that.

So I guess my 2nd gen is 1 in all of them because I still have the original dash and it’s not even cracked , everything underneath that holds everything on is broken though

Cracked dash. Every second gen has that problem lol.

Every one still loves second gen....they won't let them die.....lol

Has anyone figured out why it’s so common on these trucks? Is it just cheap material from the manufacture? I got a question for you Mark. How do I order some cat filters from ya?

Yep that’s my guess! Just cheap plastic that gets brittle over time. Sure thing! They are all on MDDPerformance.com from fuel filters to oil.

Yup, it's the dash. This is a killer kit! I was going to replace mine, but all I could find were plastic covers... not the actual dashboard. 100 bucks worth of slotted angle and I'm good to go! Looks like Mad Max tried to build a spaceship! X3
