I actually respect the modification to the roll pan to fit the hitch that was already there. I own a third gen and the previous owner decided to just sawzall the OEM hitch to accommodate the roll pan. Really inconvenient for me as the new owner since I actually use my truck for what it was meant for. I’ve since removed the roll pan and put an actual bumper, but have yet to get a new hitch on it.

You ordered the cupholder for a 98-02 console, which is why it doesn't fit right, the link you posted is still the 98+ one. I almost ordered the same headunit for my 98, but it sticks out of the dash so far I'm worried about shifter clearance if I run it in the low position and in the high position it will end up blocking my vents and phone mount. Ended up ordering a Joying headunit which was quite a bit more money but should end up fitting my needs better.

What did you do to make the radio fit? My 2nd gen has a 1.5 din slot. The one you showed is a single din radio. Is there a gap or how did you space it? Also where did you get the wiring harness for it?

How do you like the 6 speed 12 valve? Plan on towing anything heavy with it?

What about the fog lights?

I didnt realize that a new radio would make the speakers sound better, mine are going out, but maybe its just a bad head unit

Most likely speakers still. Only reason it’ll sound better is a better quality amp to run them.

I miss my 92 dodge. This 2011 GMC I has more power but it's not a reliable as the Dodge. GMs electronic are a nightmare.
