A Powerful Testimony of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ live in the New Testament, the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, shares the greatest Easter story ever told. Let it not be the greatest Easter story never told. Elder Gary E. Stevenson, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles shares his testimony and "invites us to look at the Book of Mormon in a new light and consider the profound witness of the reality of the risen Christ as well as the richness and depth of the doctrine of Christ."
We are deeply grateful for New Testament scripture that preserves the story of Easter and the Savior’s Easter ministry in Judea and Galilee. In addition to the important verses about Easter in the New Testament, we as Latter-day Saints are endowed with a most remarkable Easter gift! A gift of unique witness, another testament of the Easter miracle that contains perhaps the most magnificent Easter scriptures in all of Christianity. I am referring of course to the Book of Mormon and, more specifically, to the account of Jesus Christ appearing to inhabitants in the New World in His resurrected glory. In reality, the Book of Mormon shares the greatest Easter story ever told. Let it not be the greatest Easter story never told. I have observed that when President Russell M. Nelson gives a gift of the Book of Mormon to someone not of our faith, including world leaders, he often turns to 3 Nephi and reads about the appearance of the resurrected Christ to the Nephites. The Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ because throughout its sacred pages, one prophet after another testifies not only that Christ would come but that He did come. I invite you to look at the Book of Mormon in a new light and consider the profound witness it bears of the reality of the risen Christ as well as the richness and depth of the doctrine of Christ. His visit as a resurrected Savior, introduced by God the Father, is a most glorious and triumphant Easter message. It will help our family members gain a personal testimony of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer, who broke the bands of death. I close with my testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and of Jesus Christ as the Son of the living God. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. #BecauseOfHim

Praise the Lord! He came to visit the faithful saints in His resurrected form in antiquity and He WILL come again! This time to rule and reign personally on the earth in power and great glory as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords for 1,000 years. Hosanna to God and the Lamb! That's a heartfelt analysis of ancient prophets. Today, the 1P & 12 A are prophets that don't prophesy, seers that don't see, revelators that don't revelate. I hear only analysis, no witnessing. Would to God they would do their jobs.

You're asking for a new prophecy when we already have the fulness of the gospel. Plates are sealed but the policies continually change.

Hi @ApatiEktetheimenos, thanks for the opportunity to clarify our beliefs. Latter-day Saints are not polytheists. We worship one God. The Church’s first article of faith states, “We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.” These three beings make up the Godhead. As Latter-day Saints we pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. We acknowledge the Father as the ultimate object of their worship, the Son as Lord and Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit as the messenger and revealer of the Father and the Son. We differ from other Christian religions in our belief that God and Jesus Christ are glorified, physical beings and that each member of the Godhead is a separate being. Yes, I am told you "worship one God" but I also know the LDS and Joseph Smith clearly teach God is a man, God is just one god among countless other gods, and that Smith claimed there is a whole counsel of gods. You may say you only worship one of them, but you clearly teach there are MANY gods. That is Polytheism, so how do you have such conflicting views???

(Edit to reformat scriptures to be more clear.) For those of you who question if this is Christ's Church and if it's biblical (in order of where they appear in the Bible): Psalms 82: 1, 6 Isaiah 29: 11-12 (see JS History 1: 63-65) Ezekiel 37: 15-19 Amos 3: 7 Malachi 4: 5 1 Corinthians 15: 29 1 Corinthians 15: 40-41 2 Peter 2: 1 (In other words, not all preachers are true) Revelation 22: 19 (much has been taken away over the centuries) And for any prophecies Joseph Smith made that were fulfilled? See D&C 130: 12-13. "I prophesy, in the name of the Lord God, that the commencement of the difficulties which will cause much bloodshed previous to the coming of the Son of Man will be in South Carolina. 13 It may probably arise through the slave question. This a voice declared to me, while I was praying earnestly on the subject, December 25th, 1832." That was at least a decade before the civil war happened that that was said; according to the summary above the section, Joseph Smith said this April 2, 1843. The civil war didn't happen until the 1860s.

Easter is pagan and was already a thing way before Jesus’ death so it has nothing to do with his resurrection. But if that’s what people want to make it go on ahead and do it.

Ah glad to see someone else gets it. Any Christian that gives Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies to their kids while saying they worship Christ is clearly not worshipping Christ and teaching their children pagan stuff and confusing them .

You don't know what you are talking about. Please learn to read the story in the Bible or get a religious teacher to teach you about Jesus Christ the death and the resurrection. We must learn who the truly savior God is and who we really are creations. Please learn also to respect the creations of God!

Does it matter when we choose to celebrate Christ? We celebrate Christ in December too but we know that isn't when he was born... Try having some joy and gratitude 🙏🏻🪻 OR... Try "Loving thy neighbor" instead of JUDGING them?😉
