    2:13:51 What I find interesting is they actually kind of gave Zenos a redemption of sorts. Not a redemption that makes him good, far from it, but a redemption from within his own moral framework. He figured out something he was doing wrong, that was obstructing him from finding his own satisfaction, and fixed it. He did better. He didn't become good by anyone else's measure, but he found his own type of redemption in the way that mattered to him. In a certain way, I see Zenos just a little bit like the Lykaon.

    Further evidence to the Shadowbringers not having Dynamis in the lore yet. In Amaurot, Terminus Sprinters (the horses) have an attack called Aether Spike. Which given the lore of the Final Days being made of Dynamis doesn't line up. When you see Sprinters again later, the attack is still used, but it's renamed to Hollow Spike, presumably in reference to it basically being an attack made with a hole in aether.

  • @ShinKuroNeko77

    they made things up as the story goes on, this is common and expected for stories that goes for years. For example, the ancients are not even a thing in the writing table until like, mid stormblood, resulting in various inconsistencies from ARR and HW that they eventually address.

    Honestly the most impact moment of the expansion is Venat asking us the question of has our journey been good and worthwhile. Made me really reflect on the almost 1,000 hours I’ve spent with the game and the friends I’ve made from it. All the hype moments and heart breaking ones. Truly a powerful scene that sticks out to me. Followed closely by Zenos’s question to us at the end of the 6.0 MSQ.

    I definitely agree. The peculiar contradictions, while subtle, are evident. How, for example, do primals gain strength through fervent prayer, if primals are beings of purely Aether? They are not creatures of Aether _AND_ Dynamis; Zodiark's shroud making sure of that. One's emotions should mean nothing to the primals if the primals gain nothing through emotion. Also, how can you say "entropy exists in this fantasy universe" when Azys Lla was able to remain in the sky for untold millenia, purely off of the _PRAYERS_ of the tempered as siphoned through the primals like batteries, while the primals even grow in strength during that time? it would be able to sustain itself indefinitely, *IN THE SKY, MIND YOU, WITH A GIANT F-OFF MAGICAL BARRIER,* had the allagans not fallen during their calamity, and you mean to tell me that the universe is doomed to a heat death? Preposterous. And other things; Dynamis is just the most prevalent example, but there are others, I'm sure. It's a very well-told story, but it's one that shows the flaws of the process of making it.

  • @Zakjuh

    @Zakjuh

    Жыл бұрын

    @@obviouslykaleb7998 To be fair, Zodiark's shroud doesn't eliminate the existence of Dynamis. It still very much occurs on the star. (See: Limit Breaks, the fact that the Elpis bloom is affected and the fact that Akasa is even an idea at all) It just keeps the external negative dynamis in the great expanse that Meteion is directing at Etheirys out.

    @@Zakjuh the issue with that theory, insofar as it relates to limit breaks at least, is one of the fundamental aspects of Dynamis itself and the use of the limit break in the Warrior of Light trial. We know that, the more dense the aether in an area, the less Dynamis, and it works vice-versa as well. Given, then, that primals are beings of *PURE* aether, they cannot therefore harness Limit Breaks, which would require massive amounts of Dynamis if they are indeed caused by Dynamis. Therefore: Dynamis was never conceived of as recently as patch 5.3, or limit breaks do not use Dynamis, or what happened in that trial was never a true limit break despite its' intentional appearance and great thematic importance. Though, to be frank, I'm unsure why people say 'limit breaks use Dynamis.' I'm not certain if it's actual lore or inference. In other words: Dynamis is very much a new concept in the story, or the writing sucks, or limit breaks don't use Dynamis. As for the Elpis Flower: eh I guess so? Edit: as well: Azys Lla. It remained floating and defended with a massive Aether shield by the siphoned aether of the primals imprisoned within, which were themselves powered by the imprisoned, tempered, worshippers of said primals. In other words: either Emet-Selch/Lahabrea/whoever designed the tempering primals to change Dynamis into Aether without really any knowledge of what Dynamis is, or Dynamis is a new concept in the lore. It's obvious to me that Dynamis is a new concept in the lore.

    @@obviouslykaleb7998 Quick response to the 5.3 trial thing. The Warrior of Light is a form that Elidibus clad himself in, using the power and will and fervent belief of warriors of light from other shards and worlds. Considering Amaurotines are strictly said not to be able to harness dynamis due to being composed entirely of aether, I prefer to believe that Elidibus used limit break by siphoning it, along with everything else, from the essence of the warriors of light that he called out to and/or had summoned. It didn't come from him, but was instead taken from actual sundered beings and harnessed by him. I know that doesn't directly answer what you said, but that's something that came to mind and I truly believe it to be that way. Like sucking the water out of a pond and putting it into your bucket.

    Even in a mostly comedic video, I STILL get chills as those opening notes of Big fat tacos start playing as you jump on Xenos. They really made some moments that will never get old.

    I remember getting through the Garlemald and the other area and feeling like "I'm almost done." Endwalker was pretty darn great and I'm glad I boosted a char to see it while I slowly work through the rest of the game with my "main". Thanks for the vid Mr. Chair. Keep being you, never get shapen. This video was top notch, both editing and misshapen-wise, and I can only imagine how much time it took to edit.

    Thank you for the jumpscare warning. As someone who is easily startled by those things, a warning to steel myself is very much apreciated. This video is great, still watching it but I wanted to thank you for that in particular since people just throw those in without realising how the audience might react to such things

    I got an ad for Picard with him saying "to save the future we must go to the past" right as you're in the 1st and talking to Elidibuddy. The timing amused me.
