I am a lvl 60 noob that isn't even playing a healer so I don't know what Chair is saying 80% of the time, but I still enjoy listening to him because he sounds like he's done with everything, yet has to keep a semi-good tone and teach people.

I was going to make shitty commemt at the end of this for the algorithm, but then you said that thing about how aquaveil should have been called protect. This is a valid thought, and therefore the video is acceptable.

Got Whm to 90 yesterday. Very accurate guide. Only missing the fun GBN WHM interaction Super bolide vs Benediction.

I had one if those at kistis... -.- I used bene , not immediately but a few seconds later they shot themselves... made me think did it on purpose. My salty 🧠: ok 2.5 mobs left, mobs were actually melting, even in the case they died we as a team will not. So I casted 1 regen 1 med2... keep holy and gl GNB.. sorry...

I did start the game as a conjurer, thank you for acknowledging me.

I still have cure 1 somewhere on a hotbar for the rare occasion where I get summoned into Satasha during a leveling roulette. I can't be bothered to open the action menu just to drag that one icon.

Lily Bell was pretty nice for the 2nd coherence in P2S. Getting smacked around by party members as well as flare chip damage triggered it twice to make sure people were topped off for the big laser. Felt pretty cool finding a use for it that wasn’t as telegraphed as Akh Morn.

There are plenty of uses alongside the one you mentioned: - P3S' FoF - P4S P2 Act 2 & Curtain Call - Barbiriccia ground pounds - Any raidwide that inflicts bleed (e.g. Scarmiglione's raidwide) Further, it's a convenient 1k two press oGCD heal if nothing else. I used it for that purpose in P6S after photo cells (numbers). So I don't think its niche at all.

The EX1 and EX2 trials for EW also make great use of Lily Bell, EX1 moreso, esp wth the early multi-hits. P1S it's also nice for Intemperance, since tehre are several raidwide aoes in relatively rapid succession

If it's dead then it doesn't cause damage.

White mage main approved. Two corrections, though: -If someone's being a little baby bitch boy piss-his-pants about staying at half health on a boss with no raidwides that will kill you at 50% health, Rescue troll him into an instakill. Don't raise him. -afflatus Rapture is actually really good if you pair it with Plenary Indulgence, and raidwides are usually infrequent enough for it to be off CD whenever it happens.

No no no, Liturgy of the Bell *used* to be bad, but now that you can pop it early, its SO FUCKING GOOD and everyone is sleeping on it. Even with the lesser heal per stack, slapping it on the floor and immediately popping it is practically an oGCD Afflatus Rapture, like, yes please?? It generally have it on cooldown in raids because its just such a good AoE heal. Best use, imo, is plop it down before a raid wide damage attack, let the Bell heal the one time, then pop it. Very good. Is this how Squeenix intended for it to be used? No. Do I care? No.

I thought liturgy was lame but holy fuck its actually pretty good for dealing with heal checks that force you to move during and dots. Get a lot of use out of it in P4S and Seph unreal

Fluid Aura was good and viable back in ARR, sometimes I remember it and weep. I admit that I am probably the only person who thinks this

You're definitely not. I once had a completely FUBAR run of Cruise Chaser when it was the scourge of raid roulettes, and it was down to me and one tank for the last 2% HP, and I killed that thing with Fluid Aura, since it still did damage in HW. So Fluid Aura saved the day for me and that party back then, and it was beautiful

Ah, and I can't believe I forgot, but it had uses in Palace of the Dead as well. Moving a casting enemy at all would interrupt the cast, so it was handy to use for the mobs that weren't immune.

Locking lilies behind the lvl 52 quest meaning you have to finish 2.X quests to have them (and all other lily buttons), even if you grinded to lvl 90 off pvp/roulettes/etc, is just silly. Really promotes the xpac jobs with minimal/no skill locks over the originals, esp if playing with Road to 80 buff.

I have been maining WHM since ARR and I have to say it is a very accurate description of the job. It missed some mischievous "Rescue" uses but apart from that all good.

I felt that visual gag about slapping benediction to no effect in my very _soul_

i wasn't looking at the screen when chair said "afflatus" and thought he said "inflatious". i'm not super proud of where my mind went before i realized i misheard him...

11:00 well... I guess we didn't get that Lily Medica 2, lol.

Pretty much the only time I've really used Bell is the last boss of stigmascape and it has that aoe bleed.

I will say, I have found ONE instance where Cure 1 and the Free Cure procs saved the day: I was running Castrum Meridianum MINE for fun and as tends to happen when running something facerollable outside of MINE but (doing the same wall-to-wall pulls) the tank went down, so I went down, but got rez'd which meant I had 0 MP and Shroud was still on cd since I used it a few seconds before I died. I didn't have enough MP to cast Cure II so I cast what I could; Cure 1, and that plus Regen was enough to keep the tank's HP more or less stable while MP recovered and I brought the tank from teetering at about 20-30% HP w/ nonstop Cure 1 casts to full after a couple Free Cure procs to cast Cure 2, and by then Shroud was back up so I could rez the other DPS and we just barely limped through the first boss fight haha outside of that very specific instance tho Free Cure is indeed useless.

Can't wait until fishing for cure 3 procs is added to the game. That'll be the big brain idea yoshi will have for next expac

Went WHM from ARR to Shadowbringers and then switched to SAM before Endwalker came out. Been unsubbed for a bit but thinking about resubbing and going at it again with WHM. Thank you for telling me there is a use case for Cure 1!

I like using my holy spam PRECISELY when the WAR used bloodwhetting so they waste it and silently fume while I'm chuckling to myself. You're not the healer here, WAR... I. AM.

I mean, bloodwhetting heals off of the warrior's landed hits, not hits landed on the warrior. All you're doing is not letting it do its little bit of mitigation.

I'm lowkey hoping the meta for Criterion is to do them with 1 WAR and 3 DPS so SE finally takes notice of how ridiculous it has become for healer mains in casual content. It was funny at first but now it's really boring to get a good WAR in a dungeon, you straight up have nothing to heal unless someone eats a boss mechanic.

When you think about it, a healer just DPS the tank backwards.

As a whm i use the aoe bell as a instant heal for most things. It is just an ogcd normal heal to me.

Liturgy keeps getting wasted on Void Aero IV in ex4 and it hurts seeing this in the fight as a scholar ;-; They never have it off cooldown for the painful heal check after the 2nd teasing tangles and it usually wipes parties

Damn you really didn't need to attack me(AST) like that lmfao I'll still never understand why WHM does more damage than an AST that has to play DDR while keeping peeps alive & buffed.

The difference between them is that WHM has less bottom to press. In casual contents like experts/dungeon they do the same thing. In normal content (savages) I don’t know tbh. In hard contents (ultimates) SCH is more fun. You have a tool kit that can you optimise while WHM is always the same thing. I’d say WHM is the WAR of healers, a brain dead job.
