Nice! I think that first clock sounds better (in the video) with the cover in place. As for my comment on the last video, I can see now that it's the same clock I've seen in the background of other videos before.

I think this clock is Swiss made, because I recognized the town's name GLARUS on a modern address pad on the left side of the clock's body, if it's not only the mechanic's address. Glarus is located in the German speaking part of Switzerland. "Repariert" means "repaired". "Gewichte" means "weights" (Mitte = middle) Greetings from Germany!

I love these types of striking clocks that plays melody in addition with striking the number of hours. Nowadays even some quartz clocks electronically imitates the sound of small cup shaped bells or thick and hard coiled wire for hour strike and these strings or organ pipes for melody. I love such quartz clocks that contains electronically programmed circuit board of sound chips connected to speaker that imitates the sound of bells or gongs for hour strike and strings or organ pipes for melody.

The tune on the 1st one is bound to be identifiable though what it is, I have no idea - great sound though. The one with the blackbird some of us have seen before and fabulous in its own way.

Seems like every time I see a video of someone showing off their clock collection. They ALWAYS claim that a few or half of their clocks are rare! Most cases they are not! I do like the collection, just been dealing with antique clocks *repair/collecting/buying/selling etc* for going on 35 years now. This does NOT make me the worlds greatest clock pro! However I know enough to know what is TRULY "rare" and what is not rare! Still nice clocks, but then again to me any old clock is a beauty!
