- A Night In Tunisia- -Drum Cover- -Jesus Molina-
I'd give this take like a B grade but thats jazz, you get what you get. Its all improvised and for me very fast. I slowed down the original a bit so it not at such a break neck tempo. Hope some of you metal guys out there will give it a chance and check it out but most of the jazz stuff I post doesn't really go anywhere lol. Plzzzz like and sub I'll love you long time.

@@yarpyarp85 Good drumming is good drumming. I don't know why the genre should make people shy away.

Thanks man! I’ll check yours out and sub! 🤘🤘
Awesome groove! Bravo! If this is only a B by your standards, I have to wonder what it would take to receive an A grade... You probably already know Louis Cole, but if you haven't heard him yet, I would strongly recommend his project "Knower." He mixes jazz with funk and pop music to astounding results with a bunch of other Berklee graduates. I'd recommend the live band sesh of "Time Traveler" they have up on their KZread page so you can see his jazzy drum prowess. My favorite song by them is "The Government Knows", but that song is completely electronic so it wouldn't give you the joy of watching him rip up the kit with crazy beats. "The Government Knows" does have a hilarious video, though. He also has a kind of joke/grindcore, two man metal project called "Clown Core" which is also quite interesting. They have a few albums, two of which are on KZread, which are videos of the recording process and them fucking around between songs. The first one, "Toilet", has them recording and performing the entire album in a Port-o-Potty, and the second "Van", has them recording the album while driving around California and in parking lots in a run down van. Equally hilarious and musically interesting.

Dude thanks so much and yesssss I’m all in on Lewis cole. He’s one of the best around and his band is so sick. When I was in school for music I saw those house session with the huge band, sooo killer. Also if u like Lois cole I’m sure you’ve heard of JD beck and Domi….. buuut if not prepare to have your mind fried! I’m sure u have though. Seriously though thanks for the comment and for checking this out. 😉😉

@@yarpyarp85So I gave their song "SMiLE" a listen and I was quite impressed! I'm sure there's something out there that ought to blow me away even more by them though; it felt like they were holding back with that track. At least the video got quite a few chortles out of me for the great use of humor! Speaking of mind-blowing musicians, drummer Marco Minneman and his current project with legendary guitarist Guthrie Govan and godlike bassist Bryan Beller, "The Aristocrats" is right up your alley. They're a rock/fusion band unlike any other. I first heard about Marco when he was drumming for the insane tech death band Necrophagist back in the early 2000's. Since then he's played with some of the modern masters, like Joe Satriani and then formed The Aristocrats. He's simply astounding, probably my favorite living drummer. I'd recommend the live video of "Get It Like That" from their Culture Clash tour in Tokyo. It's simply a jaw dropping performance!

Ya dude that’s like there quote unquote hit tune. Everything else is pretty crazy. They always rock my favourite things at breakneck tempos if I wanna check that out. And yes totally I know maro well and I Guthrie because I’m a super fan of Gergo borlia and he has played with him. But ya Marco is phenomenal and I have to hear him with Guthrie.
