A NEW YEAR of TRUCK CAMPING in Our Lance 825 | Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado

Welcome to SEASON TWO of adventures in our Lance 825 Truck Camper! We’re kicking off a brand new year of travel with our annual spring camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Each spring the park plows and reopens Trail Ridge Road for Memorial Day Weekend, and we try to be the first ones of the year to drive it. Although this time around, nature had a different plan for us.

Great video, although sad to see the devastation from fire. Really enjoyed the soft music and story as told. Enjoy and safe travels youngsters

In our Lance, we woke up in Mammoth CG, Yellowstone, in the middle of an elk herd with the bull bugling. They hung around for most of the morning. Our bucket list also includes all National Parks. We have 8 more to go.

Wow that’s incredible!!! We still have nearly 40 parks to see 😅 but we’re slowly chipping away at that list!

@@thewaywedidit I will most likely go to Carlyle Lake for a couple days or Shawnee National Forrest. This is all new to me, so a few short trips to sort out what I need and then I will start heading out further, the ultimate goal is to hit all the National Parks and enjoy them. I lived in CA for 22 years and then NV so I have been to quite a few but as you know you can not take everything in one trip. I have been to Zion probably 20 times and I am amazed every time I go, especially in March and after a good monsoon rain. I probably won’t document my trips as well as you do…but I hope to enjoy this beautiful country while I still am able. I have researched and watched 100s of videos on van life, over landing and camping in general and was going back and forth and what I wanted to do, it was your video of swapping your tow behind for the Lance that made my decision easier. I have a friend that has a 24 foot Airstream Van and he just got back from a 3500 mile trip and he was telling me he was too big for three of the National Park campgrounds and had to camp in Cracker Barrel parking lot, which I am not opposed to doing but I wanted to be able to go where I want with relative ease…..I guess you can tell I am excited!! PS. I like what you did to the shower, added a touch of class to an otherwise plain and boring room.

@@mchace696 That’s amazing!! And we are so happy our video was helpful! We did the exact same thing you are doing, camping near home to work out the kinks, then off to see all the national parks! We’ve already seen quite a few in our truck camper with no problems. It really does change how you experience the parks. We are incredibly excited for all your future adventures in your new Lance! Safe travels!
