I agree! I've been pumped since Void Rivals #1 and I look forward to the release of every new Energon Universe title in a way that I haven't for quite a while with Transformers comics.

@2:02 Classic Disney/Aladdin movie moment (“Do you trust me?” Line between Aladdin and the Princes). The two of them entering the “Wasteland” reminds me of TRON legacy and Quorra and Sam escaping the arena and going “off Grid” into the “wasteland.”

Agreed! I'm hoping we get to spend some time on Agorra during the next arc...the locations in this book are really immersive and fun.

The mysterious being might be a rogue Quintesson who created another rogue civilization that fell to civil war and division. I think rebellious child refers to both the mysterious being and the younger civilizations the Quintessons look down on and tend to interfere with.

I know! Although I'm grateful that it's not a longer hiatus. I would definitely be interested to see if Void Rivals is going to be referenced in any way in the other three titles...but it might be a while before that happens.

Was excited to see your video and hear your thoughts on “Proximus”. I hadn’t seen that cover for issue seven yet, i think that’s a pretty solid bet for who Proximus may be. I wonder if they have any close tie to the Quintessons. I do think Zerta being the woman the Quints are referring to is a really solid bet. I can already imagine how spicy things might get by the time we get bigger crossovers between the titles. Since we’re likely seeing Decepticons/Cobra team up, I wonder which Void Rivals faction will be joining them. With the layers these factions seem to have, I wouldn’t be surprised if both of them end up working with Decepticons as much as we’ll likely see the main duo and the resistance groups team up with Autobots and the Joes.

I've been wondering that as well - initially I thought it would be one side teamed up with the Autobots and the other with the Decepticons, but now, the way things are going, I think the scenario you laid out is more likely. It'll be interesting to see what happens when we eventually get to that point. I'm excited!

I was pleasantly surprised when I decided to start reading this series and it just keeps getting better. Really looking forward to when it starts back up and seeing more of how the Quintessions are connected. Honestly, I'm liking this more than the main Transformers comic.

Just finished the issue. I’ve enjoyed the series thoroughly thus far, for the most part more than I did the other Hasbro comics at IDW. Great analysis as always!

Thanks, man! Yeah, I think I agree that, so far, Void Rivals is quite a bit stronger than the Hasbroverse titles from phase 3 of IDW. Can't wait to see how it develops as time goes on!

I'm enjoying this comic alot! But it would of been nice to have a semi big reveal at the end of arc 1 to hype up the next arc and such. However I'm still hooked I just hope the answers and reveals we get pay off. Thanks for another video moonbase, your commentary is amazing as always!

Could be! I believe Kirkman is on record saying not to expect any other Hasbro properties to appear in the Energon Universe anytime soon...but this is the guy who snuck a whole new Transformers/G.I. Joe universe into a brand new IP, so it's certainly possible!

I got my friend into reading the idw comics at the exact time you started your retrospective series ,so it's been a real treat for us to be rereading and following them along side your amazing videos . And i love getting a recap and finding things I didn't catch the first time from your voidrivals and TF2023 series videos . I know, it's kind of painful timing because I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next. But, I'm assuming/hoping they're doing it so that they can keep the same artist throughout and not have to use fill-in artists, which is something I really appreciate. So I think it'll ultimately be worth it!
