Dave, excellent video. I have had the same grinder for almost 2 years. Really good for the price. As you go into some tweaks required to increase precision. Thank you!

can't wait to see the upgrades. If you arent aware harbor freight recently released an awesome portable bandsaw table that you can use vertical or horizontal, i got one of those but i wouldnt mind one of these for harder materials

Haven't seen the sliding version before, that's kinda neat. I only cut small stuff with the one I've had since the dark ages, be interesting to see how it goes on plate or bigger box sections. I see there's two variants on the slider, there's also a short one.

Hey Dave, Interesting video. The box should read, needs assembly and possibly some machinery and slight modification. But overall, it looks like a good addition to your workshop. So thanks for sharing ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.

Great watch You should be able to index the body of your grinder to orientate the swich. Well hopefully. Keep up the good work.

Hi, unfortunately there is no way to rotate the grinder, so I just have to live with sticking my finger in the small space to turn it on. I might just rewire it and install some other switch.

@@TheMiniMachineShop He's talking about undoing the 4 bolts holding the plastic body to the metal head, then you can rotate the body and put the bolts back in. I just use a foot switch.

G'day Dave. I have a drop saw, which is made of steel, with a 10" disk. Mine is a bigger machine, whereas yours is more compact & portable to suit a hand grinder/ cut off etc With the depth of cut, I would suggest that you cut the O.D. of the great looking lock nut that holds the Disk in place to about 1/8" or 3/16" , closer to the locking 4 holes that the tool sits into, which will give you the extra depth of cut. So instead of about 2" O.D it might go down to 1 5/8' , or whater the O.D. of the locking holes are Great video, keep em coming.

Hi Mako, the mini mill that I had converted was sold and the 3018 CNC is stored away to make room for new stuff. I'll no doubt pull it out someday to make something and hope I can remember how to use FreeCAD. Cheers!
