Hi Lee
Thomann should stock this exact spec model as a Julia Hofer signature model.

I've been looking for a Jazz V, so I'd buy this in a heartbeat, and Julia gets 80% of the credit for turning me on to Sandberg. Shem von Schroeck is the other reason.

After seeing this video I like Sandberg even more. Great work!
Damn fortunate. That’s as custom as it gets. Most none of us would ever have such an opportunity. Sweet bass on every level.
It was great to see how much care and love goes into Sandberg basses, I love mine!
Congratulations, that is a lovely instrument. Well deserved. Loved seeing the bass put together step by step and the fact you both over dubbed the video yourselves.
Gorgeous instrument. Really enjoyed seeing the processes broken down. Thanks
Wow, what a fun and interesting video. Thanks Julia, Sandberg, Ida Nielsen and of course BassTheWorld!
That was an amazing video, it's always so interesting to see how instruments are built. I'm impressed that it's such a small company like around 20 people? One for each aspect basically. This video really made me want a Sandberg, specially when I saw that pickiness about the level of the frets, as I'm always crazy to get the action as perfect as possible and some companies really forget about that...
Congrats Julie!! That is a very nice bass with a solid punchy sound, she should serve you well. Have fun❤

What a beauty! And the bass looks nice, too.
What a fantastic video, very well produced. I always enjoy the process of creating an instrument. Good job! (that bass is gorgeous).
Beautiful video! How wonderful to be there for the whole process of your beautiful bass being made.
Super interesting and well done. I especially enjoyed the discussion about the fretboard woods. Sandberg basses look so awesome and of course Julia is great.
Such a cool video! Love seeing that beautiful bass being made by hand, and Julia makes is sound as good as it should!
Beautiful job on the bass parts choosing and building. It' s always awesome for me to see how things are made. Grazie 1000 !!!
The entire process is so coollll! Love the video
Wow how informative this was!Really enjoyed this fantastic video. Thanks alot, Sandberg and Julia! And the resulting bass was a gem!
What a dream come true to be able to design your own bass from scratch and watch it being made!
Its always kind of magic to see the handicrafts and birth of a new instrument. Sounds (and looks) great ! Well done promo video. A joy to watch. Tks
I really enjoyed this video. It's always interestin' to see what goes into manufacturing these instruments. Your new bass definitely sounds cool!
This video is excellent! I love the process. Wish I could have the same experience in designing a custom bass for myself!
Great video!!! So many steps the craftsmen undertake to make a quality bass. Thanks.
I would prefer to hear them speaking German with English subtitles.

In my opinion, if you are going to overdub in English, you ought to make the German track silent or at least very low-volume; otherwise, it's really distracting for the viewer.
Brava, one of the best clips uploaded so far. Thanks BTW. I am such a huge Haim fan.
Great video!! I'm REALLY diggin the Music throughout this video!!! And Julia is Adorable!
Congrats! That bass and this video are AMAZING!
Very nice people from Sandberg team 👌🥰 I have enjoyed watching the making of Julia bass. Keep on doing some more videos like this. Bravo Sandberg. Greetings from Serbia 👍 Cheers and stay safe 🥃🥃🥃👌
this was awesome, fantastic craft and attention to detail! also julia is always the best
I am so happy for you! Your entusiansme is contagious! :-)
Beautiful bass Julia. Enjoyed hearing you play it for the first time. I’m looking to maybe get a Sandberg now.
That's a beautiful bass, with all that craftsmanship put into it.
Brilliant video and a great soundtrack. Thks.
That bass line in the beginning immediately hooked me. Congrats Julia :)
Maybe the best ad I've seen. Ever. Well played, Now I want a sandberg...
Great tour and so happy that you ended up with your dream bass. It looks and sounds amazing! I picked up a Sandberg a few months ago after hearing about them for a long time. I’m a P bass guy primarily, and I picked up a Lionel (gold burst, hardcore aged) and it’s been my main bass ever since. I love the passive tone and short scale. It’s rock solid and very consistent across the entire fretboard, super light, but still very full bodied. I put TI JF324 flats on it and it’s everything a P bass wants to be but with absolutely no glitches. Plus, it makes it easy to play on those really tight stages! :D. Sandberg is making fabulous player basses.
Very nice. Thank you for the journey inside sandberg factory. Thank to Julia for having good taste for basses ;-)
Cool video of the process and nice choices for the bass!
I could listen to julia talk and smile all day! She is beautiful
Now THAT was a fun video! And quite a nice bass too ;)
Nice film. Thanks for making. I'm planning to get a 5 string at some point and Sandberg is definitely on my list...
THAT WAS COOL !!! THANKS FOR SHARING !!!
Every time I see Julia I am so impressed by her sincerity, positivity (and the bass playing skills, of course), that this amazing person could sell me anything. I've always had Sandberg on my mind, but now I will definitely get one the upcoming year (for sure, it will be the California TM2 for my metal playing needs). I will post a comment here when I do.
What a great video amazing insight into the process of such a beautifully gorgeous bass.
Nice little adventure. Thanks for sharing.
I cant thank you enough Julia for this video. I own a 10+ years old Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor 5, and always wanted to know more about the guy and the team behind this marvel. It's the best bass I have. And all details are still like new. Even after all these years, the pots are smooth and no noise, the bridge shines like the first day etc... and the sound is really good. Of course, now I want a California TT 5 and I'm already saving money for it. So thank you Julia.
Julia, It's beautiful. An amazing job by Sandberg and a great choice of specs, love the finish.
Dig the 80s vibe with the music and english dubs. Reminds me of the old instructional vids they showed us in elementary school
Sheeesh! I think I just saw my dream Sandberg being made! Great tone and great taste Julia!
Congrats Julia, great sounding and looking bass !! I think the clear pickguard was a good choice. I'm sure you'll enjoy it for many years.
Cool video! And really nice bass! Congrats!!
I am impressed. It was a pleasure to watch and listen. I want to buy my bass and start practicing.
Gorgeous bass! I usually like a natural wood body with a matte finish, but the combination of the red, the neck & head, and the nickel hardware... Very sharp. 👍
I Really enjoyed This Video Gregor Julia is a Fantastic Bass Player and Her Sandberg bass is Beautiful and Ida Playing in the Back Ground puts The Icing on the Cake and Sandberg is a Great Teacher on the Builder of Basses I Learned quite a Bit Thank you for sharing and May God Bless you and Keep you safe and happy 😇👍❤❤❤❤❤❤
sympas la découverte d'atelier; et chez sandberg, on a aussi des marleaux (la fretless diva), sa à l'air d'être une superbe équipe, merci pour ce petit reportage.
Thanks for the insight into this process. The attention to detail at Sandberg is amazing, and the bass turned out great. Enjoy your new bass Julia!
So beautiful !!! I love those Sandberg basses but they aren´t here in Argentina. Nice taste Julia, that bass looks exactly how I will choose one for me too, congratz !
Really beautiful video!!
Absolutely fascinating. Five stars again, Julia.
Nice Love the color and pick guard and great tone as well .... 👍👍
See?! Only took 18 minutes to build. Easy peasy. ;) Very cool walk-thru process - I shall own a Sandberg at some point. Good job on the specs. :)
1. Julia talks (finally) in German! Beautiful Austrian Akzent! 2. Holger beautiful German Akzent too :)! 3. Monster Music from Ida Nielsen! Where to buy?
Nice choices, pretty bass. So cool you got to help build it.
Just fascinating!!!
Very cool tour through the whole process. I had almost as much fun as you did LOL
amaaazing bass!
Super cool!🎸😎
I for one am happy that the overdub is in English... Everyone is complaining, no one even talking about bass or about how great this video was. The video was well made and it was a solid montage of a bass guitar being built. Julia is always a pleasure to watch, effervescent as usual, and she kills it on the bass. Even though the vid was mostly a montage, it showed all the individuals that worked to make an awesome instrument and it showed the process, beautifully. Seeing how personable everyone is, I would choose a Sandberg bass if I ever get a new, bass I am a left handed guitarist that plays bass, right-handed. Bass being my second stringed instrument but first, right handed orientation. It might seem odd, I could just play, bass, left handed, as I've already got a lot of technique and dexterity in that position but alas, I made the decision to only play bass as a righty. 20 years as a lefty, 6 years playing bass as a righty. I'm not horrible, as a right handed player, better than I should be but, all my musical knowledge is intact, regardless of orientation, so I am progressing at a good pace. Being that I share a birthday with the late, great, James Jamerson, it's only fitting that I would be compelled to play the bass guitar, after 20 years of playing guitar.
Awesome 🎉. You go girl. See, it really is all about Love and the Groove!
Julia thank you for sharing, this is very informative info for all musicians
Having seen this process with Fodera, MTD and Spector, nothing I hadn't already experienced before. However, seeing Julia's enthusiasm and excitement made this totally awesome. Nothing quite like watching your bass come to fruition while guiding its build from start to finish. Now I want one of these basses! Well done Julia!
Thank you. This was such a cool video
Congratulations Amazing bass for a great player🎶👍👍🎶🎶🎶
hell yeah nice , and congrats!!!
That was SO COOL!!
Awesome Julia, visiting the Sandberg factory and showing us around and having your bass tailor made to your liking. Maybe for future video, just have the conversation in German with the English Subtitles, much more natural that way I think. Thanks for sharing, though
Congratulations Julia on your new Sandburg custom bass, so awesome you had a hand in every part of the process, may you have many years of enjoyment, now you can relic your own throughout its lifetime and know every battle scar is true & not something someone did on purpose, keep on thumping 👍
My next bass will be a Sanberg. Perhaps watching Julia’s red makes me love it.

Grats to Julia on the new bass! It is a beauty! 🍍👍
Good choice going with the Delano split coil humbuckers. They have an amazing fullness and punch to them.
Nice collaboration. Cool people who know their business. Might just have to pick one up!
Wow what a stunning looking Bass congratulations Julia
Stunning
Great video Love a factory tour 😊
I have a couple of Sandbergs including a TT5 with block markers. Top quality stuff.
I’m glad she has her own custom bass. She deserves it.
Wow steckt da eine Liebe in jedem Detail
Great video, I think it's perfect the way it is.
Very nice bass. The clear pick guard was a great choice.
Wow, great bass!
The superlight TT is according to the configurator only available in matt finish, so this high gloss metallic red is super special I think esp with the rosewood fingerboard. A beautiful custom made version and may you have lots of fun with it! 👍

I was told by a sales rep at Thomann that, when you go to order a bass, you can actually ask for any color you want, whether it's available in the configurator or not. Specify the RAL number of the color you want, and the dealer will e-mail Sandberg and ask if that's possible and then give you a quote.
