A Mystery Meeting: The Search For Mackenzie Lueck
Ойын-сауық
At 1am on June 17th, 2019, Mackenzie Lueck's flight landed home, and she booked a ride via Lyft. Her driver dropped her at the odd location of a local park... and just a few hours later, Mackenzie was missing. CCTV, bodycam footage, phone records and social media profiles would help bring this case to a conclusion, and what had happened, was frightening.

I really have a hard time believing much of what happened in this case. Her parents and friends didn't know anything about her doings online. She thought it fit to hide it from them, because she knew they wouldn't agree with it. Then the courts believe he only killed her. I'm bloody sure he wanted to have sexual intercourse and when she refused he'd beat her up, tied her up and sexually assaulted her before he killed her. Why young girls would risk exposing themselves to the dangers of these online dating sites and sell their bodies to complete strangers, is just plain madness. How many women haven't been scammed, attacked and murdered by criminals hunting women online. I wish the day would soon come that women will wise up and stop this practice and rather find decent work to make money, or safer ways to meet men. We shouldn't keep silent and not warn our girls while this is happening to our women-folk time and again without addressing the problem. I hope she's at peace in heaven. I apologise if it sounds like I'm blaming the victim and not the rubbish who took her life. Peace.
I know that Mackenzie's friend at the end said how Mackenzie was not at all responsible, and all of us are supposed to agree. However, young pretty ladies might want to consider that meeting someone like AJ, that you have never met, in a dark park at 3:00AM for sex, or for trading money for sex, is putting yourself in a very dangerous position. I just say that as you may not be taught that today...

Yes but people will call it victim blaming. It's always a good idea to not put yourself in harm's way by doing things like meeting strangers at secluded parks at 3 in the morning.

@@jumpscare1530 Just like if someone walked thru the East End of London wearing a suit made of £50 notes. We can say he doesn't deserve to be mugged, he has every right to wear that suit and yet still say he was an idiot for putting himself in danger. It's not victim blaming, it's common sense cuz we live in a world which isn't safe and has evil people living in it.

She is absolutely partly to blame. People always make these stupid comments about how it's not the victims fault but if you are engaging in potentially very dangerous activities, you cannot negate the responsibility of doing so.
Being a prostitute has always been very dangerous.
No she is a little responsible for this as being irresponsible to meet someone she's never met at a park at night come on

Not a little. Totally. And that's not victim blaming. It's pure old fashioned common sense.
I’ll never understand it. Literally just go home why was it really necessary
Her parents had to deal with her murder AND the fact that she was an escort that booked a date with this subhuman the night she came home from her grandmother's funeral. Just horrible.

@@rebeccaandrews8834What's weird about it? I understand perfectly that those poor parents (who obviously had good morals from what l can guess from the video) had to deal nog only with her sudden and unexpected death at 20 years of age, but also that she brought it upon herself by being a secret prostitute. I can think of nothing worse. And being so close to her grandmother who would be 'turning in her grave' at that thought.

When her friend said shes not responsible its such facepalm moment. You have responsibility for your own safety, of course the killer is at fault but dont spread nonsense you need to have your wits and common sense about you, without it, psychopaths will take advantage of you. Furthermore if you're chasing "fun" you're going to end up getting more than you bargained for, its the devils game, i know myself. Women need to take responsibility for their actions just as men need to stop violence against women.
The world is full of monsters. Stay safe out there kids. Fly high MacKenzie 💕 🕊

Stupid to trust those online dating, those people are washed up.
Young women don't meet men you don't know without friends and family knowing, and always go to a very public place and don't give out your address. Always go with your instints, women have great intuition but often ignore it. I thank God I grew up when I did, not that it was always safe, but because it's so much easier to meet monsters now. RIP to another woman gone too soon. So heartbreaking 😢 💔

This is the best true crime channel on youtube, i appreciate all of your videos
Thanks for the episode!
You’ve changed how I viewed crime in general. The main reason why I’m interested in a career on solving crime is because of the amazing videos you produce. Currently, I’m about to start uni and hoping to pursue a career relating to crime. Specifically wanting to be a crime scene investigator! 🖤 Rest in peace, Mackenzie. ❤️

RIP mackenzie ! Poor girl must have gone through hell. But i have to say it was a very poor choice to meet a stranger from the internet in an unfamiliar and unlit location at night. Even the taxi driver was concerned . World is full of wolves like AJ , so dont take chances with your life .

I would have let someone know where she was going. Who she was meeting. And at what time etc. And not to have met anyone at 2am or 3am in the morning. What a horrible case. Rest in peace Mackenzie. 😢 Keep up the great work on your crime channel. I absolutely love what you do. 🙏❤️

I don't think she wanted anyone to know she was meeting him. Had my daughter told me she was meeting a strange man in a park at 2am I'd have begged her not to go and insist on picking her up. Nothing good can happen from meeting a complete stranger that late.

@@MirandaSinistraShe was working in the sex industry to make easy money and quite a lot of it (for a student). I hear about this more & more these days - girls who are otherwise wholesome getting dragged into being hookers due to these kinds of sites on the Internet. It is not a good thing, and young girls should be taught to have more self respect. 'Onlyfans' is another one of those confusing sites that drag girls into pornographical exposure of themselves and probable prostitution - there should be more legislation against these types of sites.

Such an awful and heartbreaking end to such a young and beautiful woman. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
Sickening case. Thank you for the episode, my friends. 💜
It's not beneficial for society to ignore unwise choices made by these victims. Highlighting such choices and using them as examples of what not to do is a real warning for others. The best thing that can be done is to educate the public and encourage people to protect themselves. Crime can happen anywhere, but there are certain practices that can help to keep ourselves safe. Keeping risky behavior like this secret, not letting anyone know where you'll be, meeting strangers in remote places at night, participating in known sketchy dating sites, etc. are not actions to encourage. My heart breaks for Kenzie's parents. What a senseless tragedy. 💔

Wow, what a horrific story! So well told. By the podcast storyteller ! 10/10 Thank you for this story + warning to our younger community to be extremely careful with " online dating " if this story doesn't warn someone how dangerous online dating can be. Then nothing will!!

Nobody deserves to be murdered. If you don't have good morals and put yourself in situations you shouldn't be in, you put yourself at a higher risk of becoming statistics. I.e. becoming a sugar baby or prostituting yourself in any forms. Those are the people predators find first. The victims walk right into their traps. Raise your daughters to value their bodies, and not just financially.
I’ve missed your voice so much, sorry for not keeping up. Please, keep keepin up!! Lols 🫶

He is an evil excuse for a human being. May her soul rest in eternal peace, Makenzie is a victim who unfortunately came across a beast in human form., he should be placed under the jail in my opinion.
Lol “part time model” my ass 😂
Parents speak to your daughters about this kinda employment and also about trusting strangers 😮. I will never understand why she went straight from the airport to this Dude's house !!!. 😮 Crazy Stupid, he should have received the Death Penalty, this was premeditated and a Sexual assault leading to murder.
