Just a little smaller interior than my legacies. What I liked was sun roof in cab. That was what put that over the top.

13,200 front and 40,000 rear for a total of 53,200. I always hated to put anything less than the 14,600 axle, that was also available at the time, on custom sleeper stuff that I had built and custom ordered. It cost and weighed a bit more, but among other issues, there was less danger of one or the other of the front springs softening (and needing replaced)over time.

@djfusesmusic - if one wants to keep fuel consumption down, the larger trick with all of the more classic looking trucks is simply to slow down. While there is a difference, at 55 mph there is not all that much drag difference (maybe 1/2 MPG) between a truck with an aerodynamic shape and one with the more boxy lines.

I bet it has great aerodynamic

IT TAKES A LOT OF MONEY, TIME, AND SACRIFICE TO HAVE A TRUCK LIKE THIS. UNLESS YOU HAVE A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF CASH ON HAND, TRUCKS LIKE THESE WILL BE A FAR REACH

How about utilizing the roof for a balcony & barbecue? Then that would be the ultimate mancave on wheels.

Just a suggestion and not a judgment. But if this is an advertisement video (I am not sure), you may consider more smooth camera work. KZread does not charge by the minute. Take your time and show it off. Just constructive crit. It looks like a very nice rig -- slow it down a bit and let it shine.

@williamfsark -990HP... wow!! Is that a Mack engine? How much torque? We were topping out at 625hp (with Kenworth): the C16 Cat, an EPA casuality engine along with all of Cat's engine lineup. Our curent top HP engine: Cummins ISX at 600hp. Our truck store is in Fort Wayne, Indiana and should you stop by, you would be most welcome! I should note that our big sleeper truck inventory does fluctuate - I think we have about 5, just now. Earlier in the recession, maybe 25+ big sleeper units.

It seems like it would be allot more difficult to drive with such a long sleeper. Is it?

Collin Glover They are more difficult, but not much, they don't take long to get used to. And if you are a over the road (Out for 2+ weeks at a time) then this is the only way to go. A smaller sleeper cab is just not something that is really feasible in the long run.

Collin Glover What about the weight how heavy it is.
@williamfsark13 жыл бұрын
@stayingman it has a heavily tuned Cummins engine, the torque i' not really sure of. Ok, i will try and get to you by next friday as i'm actually in Canada right now pulling road trains of salt since the snow is starting to get a little heavy....ok, i am very intreseted in these and hope to come cheack them out and possibly buy one.

At 120,000 miles per year (typical OTR semi), 1/2-MPG equals about $5,000.00 per year in additional fuel cost. I think 1.0-MPG difference is more realistic...or $10,000.00 per year difference in fuel cost. Not to mention the reduction in payload caused by the heavy sleeper! The object of the trucking business is to make money...not impress the girls in the parking lots!
