I came down with insulin dependent diabetes so can no longer have a CDL. If I could I'd buy one and live in it for sure. Much better than any stupid RV. I'd hook up motion sensor lights to come on outside Automatically. Something to discourage meth heads and thief's from getting too close. We all know that truck stops are surrounded with those people.

John Ryan they are not going to regular distribution centers in town ,most of them chasing the lightweight stuf or on piece so they can permit them depending on what trailor they pull 99%can not pul just any trailor,and haul regular freight,empty weight is between 40-50 thousand,depends on size sleeper,what trailor and the extras car or moter bike some of those setups cost depending between 300-400 grand plus ,,,when you think a 2000 payment is big don’t ask those guys anywhere between 4-6 grand depending on how big the check was when they drive away whit it,,,,they talk about the truck all the good things,,one thing they hartly talk about is,you limited on freight they all have special contracts,to haul lightweight freight,they make miles on the clock 1 buck more then average owner operator clock miles and computer miles is 10-12% difference,,and the last thing is,,,,,,,when you looking for one there is a shitload of them for sale used,WHY WOULD THAT BE LOW MILES TO..........
@user-si1iw7nq3x
4 жыл бұрын
@@winuscleyne890 I was wondering about that. Definitely too much weight and length for me. I personally dont go above 220 or 230 inches. And then your still hassling yourself by needing your own trailer with a spread axle and knowing how exactly to communicate with loaders to make the weights correct. Just too much goes into specin one out. Sure I'd you got the money and patience but they way freight been up an down. Now isnt the ideal time Especially if ole sleepy jo biden is president next year.

To get one is easy to pay for it is the problem,most people have them special deals hauling exclusive until somebody cut the rate,and all of us have in our own mind what’s good pay and what’s bad pay,a truck like this you should be able to pay it of in 5 years ,when I see some banks loan 8 years on a truck,could be way over a million miles and stil making payments on it,but when you run your ass of and put every penny back in the truck,and that’s when you make money,of cours depends what your hauling ,say no to cheap freight,is the kicker..>what is cheap freight you tell me
@StrokerDiesel
3 жыл бұрын
@@winuscleyne890 yes paying for one is hard most definitely we have worked on alot of these truck over the years and love them. There will always be some tying to cut rates because they think they can make more money that is no different then any other business. If we was to buy one cash 💸 and do it as a hobby to see the 🇺🇸. But first this business need to be 100% before that even enters our mind

I just started driving last year, driving a 2016/579 Peterbilt sleeper cab pulling a flatbed. Driving for a small company out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Most of my trips are 500 to 600 miles one way and on occasions I will get sent down to Georgia & Florida . i'm very happy where i am right now but down the road I would love to own my own truck and lease out to a company. I don't own a house so I have no issues staying at a truck stop or living in a motel on the weekends, you sure can save a ton of cash by living this lifestyle.....

We started our careers in tank division, back in our company driving days!! When we pulled step deck, we were 34K in weight with full fuel and water tanks, so there is a lot you can haul. Most, but not all, big bunks work in specialized hauling: government, pharmaceuticals, aviation, household goods or trade shows, car hauling, to name some. You just have to see what’s right for you. We love being on the road together. I was out of the truck for 6 weeks once and my husband was ready to quit being out himself. It takes patience & time, but we wouldn’t change it for the world.
This is the most user friendly big rig and very well matched. Color, appliances etc. More info pls regarding to company
