I heard a story of a lawyer who didnt even want to leave his paperwork behind for a case and just didnt grasp how in the grander scheme of things what really mattered, but now he has since tried to also focus on his family first. Thank you for sharing your experience!

I listened to this episode last year and again this year. Love and wisdom ooze out of Ari. I grew up Catholic and for years, I wanted to go to worship in a synagogue. I always felt I was Jewish in my heart. I asked a Jewish acquaintance the very first time I met him, how should I go about attending a service at a synagogue. He suggested I call a rabbi and ask. I didn't want to offend anybody by not knowing when to sit or stand. (Years later, I found a book that described how to visit different places of worship). The rabbi interviewed me and interrogated me to make sure I had no ill will in my motive to visit. I completely understood and was not offended. She recommended I attend the Friday night service. I did. People welcomed me and one woman told me I looked Jewish! I only knew the words, rabbi and shalom. The Hebrew songs and readings resonated with me. I wish I knew some of the Jewish terms you used in this interview. I think I figured out most of them by the context in which they were used. I remember when I was a Girl Scout, we ended each meeting by singing, "Let There Be Peace On Earth." Let it begin with me! That is what came to mind as Ari was speaking. In the new testament, I think in the book of Mathew, it said not to hide under a bushel basket. Ari is a great speaker and I was inspired and motivated once again. Thank you.

Well, you made this jew cry. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m very glad to hear the synagogue You went to was welcoming to you. I’m not sure how long ago this was but I think you said years ago. Sad though that we have to make sure that there is no ill intent of a visitor who’s not even coming with somebody; but it’s the way it is, especially again these days. At least in this country. And others. Be well, and if I may wish you much mazel! ❤

@@rachmunshine9474 I called the rabbi in 2005 or 2006. I visited about 5 times. It could have been just me but I was getting vibes of why does this women keep visiting? So, I stopped going. When I moved near DC, I went to the historic 6th and I. I didn't ask for permission to visit, I just went. I lived in China for over 3 years. A Chinese family took me to a tea house. I don't speak Chinese. I just learned a few words. When we were leaving the tea house, a man was arguing with the man I was with. I was quite a bit ahead of the two men and I was with the wife. I asked the wife what they were talking about. I could tell the conversation was getting heated. It kept escalating. I was told the stranger was claiming I was Jewish. Obviously, he was antisemitic. I took it as a compliment. I was smiling as we walked away. Jesus was a Jew. I have considered becoming a Messianic Jew. I generally do not discuss religion at work. I was working with a colleague whom I had just met. She said something that told me she was Jewish. I asked her about Messianic Jews and her answer surprised me. I quickly realized she was liberal and I am conservative. I nicely said I didn't want to argue or upset her. It is never my intent to offend anyone.

If I had meant harm but I was going by myself, I could have cased the joint. I went to learn about and experience the religion from which Christianity stems from. I am traditional. I never got to worship with a male rabbi. What I loved about my visits was the rabbi explained the symbolism. I went before and around Sukkot. The word I remember is --sounds like onag. Learning about Sukkot, I have never looked at a full moon the same way again since learning about Sukkot. It makes me think of the slaves on the Underground Railroad travelling by the light of the moon. I know Rosh Hashanah started yesterday. Happy New Year!

I have an uncle who is Jewish. I was always so shy around him because we didn't visit each other very often. I was a shy kid. I was in MA and he was in NY. His ethnicity is Jewish, but I believe he was a secular Jew. He married my aunt in the 1950s. My cousins grew up without practicing a religion. When we were at my grandparents' house in R.I., my aunt, my cousins and I went to the Catholic church together. It bothered my father that my grandparents never really accepted my uncle. My uncle was a good provider for his family. But my uncle didn't really like my father for other reasons. Oh, dysfunctional families! All that to say I never asked my uncle any questions about the Jewish religion.

I love hearing y'all talk. I miss the many friends & co-works when I moved from DFW, TX to Upstate NY. Those 5 yrs were open, interesting & happy. Now, age 70, raised on a farm in SW Missouri, I have always been baffled by Anti-Semitism. Beginning in small town Sunday school. Age 6ish as the prejudiced teacher rattled off about Catholics & The Jewish. Do what??? What kind of lesson is that for 6 yr olds. Even in1960, I questioned. 'Kennedy is Catholic...ahhh so what? SHE made me question our church on all things. My Mom & older sisters felt different & I liked their version! HAH! At 20 I met my wonderful downstairs neighbors. The 1st Jewish people I'd ever met. I remember they were hesitant about how my roomie & I would react. We were fascinated and interested in them, not the BS. We loved that couple & it was a great learning experience. Fast forward to today I still cannot, will not, ever understand bashing any race, religion as result of ignorance & prejudice. I'm still in the DO WHAT??? mode. God bless you. Thank you to Ari. For sharing his story and carry "never forget" forward. Be Kind.

Starting With myself trying to be a light onto myself so I can change my tiny part of the World is often on my mind. And 9/11 has impacted me very much through youtube videos.. allways looking for videos, I havn’t Seen yet, and watching survivor stories, first hand witnesses etc, helps me put my Daily challenges in perspective, as small but meaningfull. So, Thank you for bringing Ari to the screen once again.. this time it feels deeper and more profound than others, that I watched of him from earlier. I wish you all the best🙏💚

That group he passed must have been Michael Wright’s group. When I was listening to Michael’s story as told by a Mrballen a internet storyteller he mentioned that Michael and a group in the north tower let them a group pass through them and Michael even described a woman who was badly burnt. It’s a small world. Both Michael and Ari’s stories are incredible. Both were almost around the same floors as well. I think Michael was just below the impact zone. I’d be surprised if Michael wasn’t the group that allowed them to pass because it’s a small world in a Huge tower.

We must remember that earth our life here is not our home . It's to prepare us for God . I believe that those who perished the soul was ready to be in the presence of God. The survivors still have work to do on earth. Death is not the end . As living beings we see that it is the worst thing that can happen. As we lose family and friends through out our lives we greive at the loss. But the departed are not grieving the loss of earthly life . They are at peace . They are at rest . So that is my answer for you. Only what I believe. I know when it's my time I will see my friends and family who went before me and I am not afraid of death . I lived a beautiful life and I cherish each day.
