It's 2019 and Air Canada hasn't changed. I went through everything you said on this video except the part about the duty free stuff. Air Canada staff are heartless, unprofessional and rude especially to visibly minorities. And they are super disorganized. A huge embarrassment to Canada.

In the philipines if your flight gets cnceled they imedietly book you at a five star hotel and rebook your flight until the next morning and you get a luxury pool its great!!!!

PinkPhoenix its not easy to work as an airline staff.. you dnt know how much we go through and people use bad words to us for their mistake such as excess bag, weather cancellation of fight.. some people physically hurt airline staff due to technical, weather or air traffic conjunction of delay or cancellations.. its not at all easy..

I agree so much. Last year I moved to Toronto from Mexico. So my English can sometimes get confusing. I asked the air hostess to repeat the food choices. She proceeded to reply with this "Were you not paying attention, honestly, the choice you have is Chicken or pasta",. So they come around with the trolley and ask me what I want. "Can I have pasta?",. She said "We ran out". So I got chicken. She then proceeded to hand pasta to the person across the aisle from me. This guy next to me saw what was happening and confronted her. She proceeded to get all defensive and rude. I said I didn't understand what she said. She then has the cheek to say. "Ma'am it's not my problem that you didn't learn English like the rest of us",. I was now very mad. I was thinking what is here deal? The other people around me stood up for me until she walked away rolling her eyes. When I was getting off the flight she said "Try not to be difficult next time , and learn some English",. I was so mad and complained about this to air Canada as soon as I was off the flight. They ignored me completely. I talked to the airport manager and they said they would sort it out. The actual airport workers were very nice and apologised for an airline they didn't even run.

One time when I was young I brought a teddy onto an air canada plane and I got sick and put it on my seat then went to the bathroom. It ended up falling on the floor and when I got back and asked if they saw it, they saidThey Lost it. I was gone three ish minutes?? Turns out one of them threw it out...

My boyfriend was flying from Dubai to Canada to go to university here with all of his belongings in 2 suitcases and Air Canada lost both of them..... for almost 2 weeks!!!! And of course they didn't give a shit that almost everything he owned was in those bags... Almost every Canadian I know hates Air Canada, and for good reason!

Um I didn't say that it was a direct flight haha, but yeah his bags made it to Toronto, but then they got "lost" there and didn't made it to Edmonton for two weeks....

This is actually really interesting. I used to work at a customer service for a big airline stationed in Europe (unfortunately I'm not allowed to say which one due to the personal opinions I'm about to spew), and sometimes, we had to combine our routes with Air Canada in order to get our customers to their destinations. I cannot tell you how many times our customers would call us and tell us that something had gone wrong; bags were missing; flights were cancelled; staff was rude; cabin service was poor, etc etc etc... All of this was _mainly_ Air Canada's fault. We co-operated with airlines from the USA, Africa, South America, Asia and so on, and yes - of course we also had problems with other airlines, but I swear to God, I got _at least_ three phone calls a week from customers who had either been treated poorly by Air Canada's crew, or from customers who were litterally _stuck_ somewhere in God-knows-where because Air Canada had cancelled their connecting flights, without informing the customers what to do or where to go. I remember speaking to a mom who was freaking the F out, as she had spent several hours waiting for her young daughter to arrive to a certain airport, but the flight still hadn't shown up and no one seemed to know what was going on. So I get on my computer, heart racing with anxiety over what could have possibly happened to this 10-year old, and finally find the flight the girl was supposed to be on. It had been cancelled. Air Canada had changed a bunch of flights and effectively messed up the girl's entire ticket, without explaining it to the girl OR the mother beforehand! Thankfully, everything worked out for them at the end, but Jesus Christ! Me and my co-workers were absolutely stunned by the complete lack of care and sense of responsibility. Air Canada, get your effing act together.

I agree my baggage has gone to the wrong place 7 times and I’ve been I a plane with air Canada 13. ONLY SIX TIMES I HAVEN’T LOST MY STUFF I also take all my schoolbooks on the plane so when I was getting my bag weighed I realised I had to take out my books and the employee watched me lean forward to open it and she presses the button and I left my books in their. I asked for them back and she had the cheek to push me out of the way(I use a wheelchair) and say sorry I your in the way and I have better things to do than hang around with paralysed freaks That place is horrible

Lilly, have you heard about the guy who's guitar was broken by united airlines? This man fought to get a refund for over a year, was treated much the same way you are describing, he decided to write a funny song about the crappy United Airlines customer service and posted the video to youtube, it went viral, 13+ million views and he FINALLY received an apology, from the airlines,google the story it's pretty awesome! I would not be surprised if Air Canada send you a letter of apology or try to give you some type of gift to make you take this video down. Don't give in Lily! They're definitely going to see a dip in their sales from this.

Air Canada staff is really rude and needs patience and doesn’t care my uncle has cancer and had a business class seat cause he was going to India for treatment and the flight was overbooked on business class and but he had a reserved seat and with all his issues ( he had stage 3 cancer plus a bag and mouth sores and his arms were swollen ) they made him give up his seat to a person who didn’t have a reservation on the flight and put him in the worst seats in economy

Ahhhhh some airlines are the worst!!! On one of my last flights to Malaysia they had me check my guitar because it "wouldn't fit" in the over head... which it 100% would have... and when I opened up my guitar case to see if it survived... it was a goner :( I need an indestructible guitar case please!!!

Air Canada lost my husband's luggage and no one, NO ONE has apologized or showed empathy. What we felt is THEY JUST STOLE OUR LUGGAGE.

I know this was 4 years ago but when you were talking about the flight that got delayed 5 hours and then decided to cancel and the next flight was at six. I remember me and my mom were in Toronto either going to Brazil or going back to Ottawa and our flight was at 3 and after about 5-6 hours of waiting and delays they finally canceled our flight and gave us coupons to one of two hotels for food and 3 in the morning and then it was too late so we went to the room slept for 1 hour got up at 4 since you need to be there 2-3 hours in advance, and we get to the airport at 4:15 (since the hotel was 15 minutes away) and we waited and then they tell us that our flight got even more delayed that morning of 1-3 hours and then we FINALLY left and that’s it but when you said what had happened to you it sounded like almost the exact same experience as me! Just wanted to let you know

My mom had gotten a discount package for a vacation, and a little while before we planned to go, my dad's sister's husband's mom/ my aunt's mother in law passed away, and her memorial was over the weekend we planned to have the vacation. My mom called to cancel the trip, but they said we had to cancel two weeks in advance, BUT WE DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS GONNA DIE TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE. And to add insult to injury, we didn't even get a refund.

That is so true when I moved here to Canada I was 13 years old. My first experience with Air Canada is the worst. When me and my mom got off the plane, my mom said to me she left her sunglasses on the airplane so I went back to get them then they are 3 stewardesses and 2 pilots coming out of the plane, I ask one of them if it's okay to go on the plane...They just look at me and walk away and laughing. So I just proceed to walk towards the tunnel to go to the airplane, they were no one there except for the lady thats cleaning up then I ask the lady if she found any sunglasses she just ignores me and walks away and I am like " really!? again" so I went in the airplane to look for it when I found it I felt the airplane moved I started panicking and knocking on all the doors one pilot came out and say "what are you doing in here? You know we can report you to the cops for trespassing" I was so confused because the stewardess lady saw me and didn't even say anything to the pilot that. P.S. I almost flew back to hong kong because of Air Canada.

You should try JetBlue! My family is Arabic and some of us wear hijabs and they treated us so kindly no matter the way we looked. We have never had a problem with JetBlue so luck to whoever needs a good one.

Nymphetamine I've flown 16 years with Air Canada, and haven't had this problem. I wouldn't go as far to avoid an entire airline because of a random person on the internet.

Amen girl. I was on one way Air Canada flight from Toronto to Phoenix in December, plane caught on fire, I blew an ear drum, the masks came down, everyone thought they were dying... Long story short I was stranded in Albuquerque for 1.5 days absolutely clueless as to what was going on and all we got was 30% off an Air Canada flight to be used within 6 months. It was enough to never fly again!

I wanna go work at Air Canada just so I can be nicw to people and change it.

I went to Air Canada for the first time last year. My flight was delayed for 3 hours, missed my connecting flight, lost my bags, and had to stay in Canada. But at least they have our free candy, and snacks. :)
