Thank you so much. It never seizes to amaze me all the "stuff" that people leave behind and all that washes up in high tide. I like to go out before sunrise and see what all is out there. Hurricanes and bad storms stir up that ocean and the result is all kinds of "treasures" end up on the beach!

Looks like you could almost cross the ocean as low as that tide is. Thanks for sharing your awesome finds and the message in the bottle would have been amazing if there was one in there. Loved that movie with Kevin Cosner by the way!

I think in this case the message was on the bottle, all those live barnacles just dying to get back in the water!

Hi Brenda, that turtle was my favorite as well. They had more than 50 of them and I had to look at all to find the right one for me! My time on the beach with my detector is my favorite thing to do, you never know what you will find! Have a good evening.

Nice finds Basia. That tide was LOW. I remember those tides when I worked at my parents marina back in the day. Moon tides. Extreme low and then flooding. Thank you for sharing. GL and HH. Eric

Those barnacles all over the bottle were cool. I'm surprised they latched on to that smooth glass surface. First time I've ever seen a full pack of cigarettes found. So easy to loose things in all that sand. Great vid as always.

Thank you Jason. There were other washouts as well with the barnacles all over them (long boards). So the message was not in the bottle it was ON the bottle., put us back in the water! I never paid attention to these live creatures before, so alive and moving around like that, you always learn something! Yes, people drop stuff all the time.

Hello! I just booked a beach house for next May at the point on Emerald Isle! We are so excited and I’m definitely going to bring our metal detector lol. I would love to find some beautiful shells too. I enjoyed this video very much thank you for making it.

Hi Basia!! We were at Emerald Isle this past week but didn't make it to the Seafood Festival. Stayed on Coquina Drive and had a wonderful stay. Not many sea shells at all and misty rain most of week but still nice. Even so hot it was like summer. Glad you find so many nice treasures, keep up the great videos!!

Way to go Quarter Girl, You did everything perfect, a great hunt by adjusting down to the wet sand to get that change pulled from the towel line now that the summer vacationers are not dropping in the dry sand. Hope you can reach 500 by years end....glhh

Hi, yes, I donate children's toys to a local charity, all dog gear to a dog rescue group and pull tabs to Ronald McDonald house! I never saw live barnacles up close so thought that bottle was cool.

Hi Charles, yes, that's where the gold & other heavy objects would be. Each time I got the nickel tone, my heart was racing hoping it was gold! Oh well, maybe next time!

Yes, 300 quarters and still more time left for 2017! Our daughter is involved with a dog rescue organization so I will be sending all the "dog" finds to her.

That was really cool you had a good find lots of interesting stuff makes me sad to see all those fish hooks that could ruin your vacation by stepping on one of them I've been to Emerald Isle twice both times in the 90s I live in the northwest suburbs of Philadelphia in Emerald Isle was really nice back then the beach wasn't exactly huge by any means but it was nice in the summer so lots of man of war jellyfish we would bury them in the sand so nobody would step on them but it was a great vacations I like Emerald Isle maybe someday I'll go back a beachfront home for rent in August went for $500 we have a beach home on Long Beach Island New Jersey but beachfront homes go for five to ten thousand a week too much money if you go to Mexico for 2 months on that. I guess there's a lot of rich people on my Island. But it was really cool to see Emerald Isle pop-up so I had to see what you got I just got done watching coin Island the island did have plant life on it but it completely was watched over I was hoping she might find some gold coins but no such luck it looks like a good place to look. Thanks for taking me on this coin venture with you it was fun. Bob storm

Hi Bob, glad you stopped by my channel. Lots of stuff in the sand including hooks, knives, scissors & various tools that could harm people. I like detecting this beach as targets are plentiful and are always replenished by people & the high tides! Many of the older beachfront homes have been replaced with large homes and condos that charge a fortune for a week's stay. Some go for $10K-$15K per week. Emerald Isle is a popular beach so the rentals get filled up quickly. Have a great day!

Hi Dave, you are right, the heavier objects hide on the other side of that sand bar. Good thing the sand bar is breached or broken in many areas so the heavier objects make it to the shore and land in low spots. The key is to find those areas. My machine is not waterproof so I am limited to how far I can go out there. A rogue wave could kill my machine...
