Italia is littered with small castles you can buy cheap, the problems are maintaining and fixing and replacing, a guy in KZread has film a few of abandoned castles. Sad to see them go. A lot of work just to keep it clean.

Castles like this usually only have a few heated rooms (heated modernly that is.) for example, the bedrooms of the inhabitants, the family kitchen and maybe some other lounge rooms are heated but the rest are usually left off and closed so the elements don’t interfere

She's so blessed. 28 generations? How did they do that? That's so amazing

I love Italian medieval castles! If I were to have a castle, I'd live in it too. I just wish they do something about the cracks though, like have them retrofitted or something to become more structurally sound.

It’s a shame Covid had to come along and spoil things. A wedding in a castle would be a dream. But I wouldn’t want to do the cleanup. And I would cringe -maybe even cry-if someone spilled red wine on one of those stunning rugs. You would definitely need to have the “find my phone” capability on if you lived there and I guess spend your days living under the WiFi antenna. I can’t imagine that aggravation. We live in a 20’ travel trailer and struggle with our internet connection.
