This movie shows you can't live alone.. it takes a community to stand up to corporate America. To do things that not only affects elderly, migrants, citizen and young generation. If they keep it oblique enough and not show their hand like this idiot fortunately did, it can go on for years before someone finally gets enough evidence to put a stop to it. The son being estranged also gives them just enough credence to give a legitimate sounding reason to act. If the journalist hadn't done her research and found out that the son basically hadn't seen his parents for years, they would have gotten away with it too (If it wasn't for those meddling kids...! :P).
