He didn't do the role justice. Rolf Lassgård did it way better. Timmy Lee Jones would be a better actor for the role since he has that natural grumpy demeanor and deep voice
I just watched this movie yesterday. It was better than I thought.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤The cat was Otto's Guardian Angel.
This movie shows you can't live alone.. it takes a community to stand up to corporate America. To do things that not only affects elderly, migrants, citizen and young generation. The usefulness of social media and the true meaning of influencer is to educate, question the wrong doings and inform the public.

@@Aibouify you do know, Im not talking about the original movie. I'm just saying what I watch. That there are in corporate America finds, manipulate and used data to take advantage of it's people. Have I watch the original movie? No...my observation is based of this movie and movie alone...was there a difference or similarities on the original and remake? Maybe, but it only shows that whatever time period or place there are people that will help you and some people will take advantage of you

The name of the realty company, Dye & Merika. So subtle of name yet it speaks volumes about big corporations in America today.
Exactly what you gotta do these days, do your research on illegal company activity, have a smart phone ready, bring in the press or social media and tell these people to get lost!

One of Hanks' best movies ever.
Tommy at the end with “hey you forgot to shut the gate” really shows the whole circle of young Otto bleeding down to the next generation.

@@chrissy7635 Yeah, all it really takes is them finding a few doctors that are willing to deal with them on the down low, for a small fee ofcourse. If they keep it oblique enough and not show their hand like this idiot fortunately did, it can go on for years before someone finally gets enough evidence to put a stop to it. The son being estranged also gives them just enough credence to give a legitimate sounding reason to act. If the journalist hadn't done her research and found out that the son basically hadn't seen his parents for years, they would have gotten away with it too (If it wasn't for those meddling kids...! :P). People like this are disgusting to an extreme.

Because HIPPA doesn't say what you think it does. I can look up your medical history all day long: I'm not a business... And the son giving away their medical history, is not illegal.
