A Love Letter to My Favorite Book of All Time | Ender's Game Book Review

Ойын-сауық

The one that started it all. Ender's Game is my favorite book of all time. It got me into fantasy, sci-fi, and literature in general. After a recent reread, here's my love letter.

The twist at the end of this book genuinely just broke my mind when I first read it. I remember reading it, slowly realizing with Ender what was being said, and having to put the book down because my mind was just blown away. I still love this book, and still love coming back to it

Watched this while unintentionally wearing my T-shirt with the original Ender's Game cover on it. Great hush man. I haven't reread this one in like 4 years. I may have to pick it up again soon. My favorite besides Ender is Bean btw, but Ender makes the story for me. So much so that it's been hard getting through the rest of the books that don't have him haha

i JUST read this book for the first time and i'm generally not a sci-fi reading but i really enjoyed ender's game and want to read the other books in the series. it blows my mind that this book was written in 1985 and the way OSC utilized the net as a way to change ppl's opinions and minds on the global scale...all before the internet is the way it is. love your passion for this book!

What a coincidence! I decided to reread this a few days before you posted this video, and once again loved it the whole way through. This series and its spinoffs are some of the best sci-fi books I've ever read. Super excited to pick up the Second Formic War series and read that epilogue tie-in book you mentioned.

so i accidentally already wrote you two essays on 2 of your other videos, so i'll try to keep it brief; - my favorite character in the enderverse is bean, HOWEVER in this book specifically i think it's Valentine. I found the story of her and Peter becoming Demosthenes and Locke extremely compelling, and I like how multi-dimensional her character is. She loves her brother, but she lets herself become a tool to convince him to go back to battle school. She is extremely ambivalent towards Peter, but he's right when he says she wants power just as he does. She's a wonderful set of eyes to watch Peter through, as well as explore her own turmoil, and I can't say no to a female character that isn't a caretaker or a sex object, with her own motivations and morals. - i wanted to know if you had an opinion of the allegory of Ender as a christ figure, saving humanity with his 12 apostles. I don't know if this is widespread or not, I thought of it on one of my many rereads, but it seems very intentional. Is Petra an unknowing Judas, serving Ender up to be crucified by Bonzo? is it someone else? Is this all a reach? Would love to hear your thoughts. Keep talking about ender's game, i find your videos super fun to watch! will be watching your one on the 2nd formic war books as soon as i get the chance to read them :)

Just found the channel and glad I did! EG is my favorite book of all time too - I even named my oldest "Ender." You mentioned in a couple of your other videos that your going through a reading slump and I might have a recommendation if you're open to it. To be completely transparent it's a shameless plug, but it might scratch and itch that you're struggling with, because, after all, I had a similar itch that couldn't be scratched, which is why I wrote the book to begin with. It's also got a few hundred reviews (90% of which are 4 and 5 star) so it's not complete crap. Lol
