Got mine today and like you, upgraded from the Ultrawide. I mostly play fighting games and do streaming so I needed this 16:9 one instead. I also really wanted the 4k resolution which in my opinion does make a big different in image quality over the 1440 Ultrawide. If they ever make a 4k gaming ultras may switch to that long term 😂

Great review and really sweet setup! I'm also really interested how your soundbar works if you plug it in with DP, I'm also quite worried about the eARC issues

Thanks! HDMI* arc not DisplayPort, so the way it works is regardless of what source you’re using, you plug in your soundbar into the specific HDMIarc port, and your other sources will play audio out of the soundbar including your PC plugged in with DisplayPort

Daam I remember watching your review on the 2019 Alienware monitors that are 27 inch and 240hz and that was crazy. Yet here we are…

Next year we're poised to get 27inch 4k QDOLED monitors, which probably makes sense because we didn't get any 21:9 ultrawides this year

I have this monitor and I am loving it! Do kind of miss having ultrawide after having the Alienware OLED for the past year. I also have one bug where it resets to 120hz every day or so and then to go back to 240 I have to turn off HDR in windows and lower it from HDR1000 just to be able to get 240 to work again and then turn everything back on again. Hoping for a firmware update to fix that soon.

Damn, they won’t learn the lessons from the past. I returned the 34” QD-OLED after nothing but trouble with syncing and constant screen blackouts, even after refreshing the pixels just minutes before. They are not ready for prime time.

Does the curve distort the image when watching movies from 10 feet away?

Have your Sonos soundbar functioned flawlessly through eArc with this monitor? I have seen several people on reddit complain the monitors eARC connection can cause issues when used with a PC connected through displayport.

You have to select the monitor as the output source, while I had it it worked fine and it was cool. But I only tested it for a couple hours with my giant soundbar plugged in on PC

Have you tried the uniform brightness? If you are using different windows with white and dark modes at the same time? to keep levels consistent for better viewing, even when changing the size of bright white windows. Like Rog PG32UCDM?

If I’m not mistaken, the Alienware did not have a uniform brightness setting. The Asus model I just reviewed recently did though

What about burn-in resistance? As much as I'd love a pair of these, but they would have to double for my work day, as well. Which means lots of static images.

I have decided to replace my 55-inch Samsung S95B QD-OLED television with the 32-inch 4K QD-OLED Alienware monitor. This change will allow me to optimize my gaming experience on my gaming PC.

Can you play console games like Spider-Man 2 in perf mode 4k? Since Spider-Man 2 perf mode is suppose to be 1440p and I saw this monitor does not support 1440p .. I saw a vid on KZread in which when he put gow ragnarok to uncap perf mode which is supposed to be 1440p uncapped 60fps , it switched his monitor to a 1080p resolution .. why is this ?

Wouldn't be nice if these companies would start putting an optical port on these newer monitors

I don't game much anymore. I don't stream videos on my main monitor on my desktop. Not very often. Mostly, my desktop is running a web browser, light office apps, etc. Stuff that would risk burn in. Otherwise, I would have bought this monitor already.

Hi sir im waiting mine to be deliver anyway in story game 60pfs is ok to me but on multiplayer i want at least 100fps. If you run this monitor on 1440p in games do you think it will become blurry.

WOLED seems to get brighter but unfortunately they will be equipped with a matte finish. Dangit!

I don’t disagree to an extent. Depending on the games you play, your average story game is about 120-150 FPS if you have like an 4080 or better more than likely, but if you go to a competitive shooter, you can hit 240 hz for sure. Also, I would always buy a monitor a little better than what your PC can currently hit. No one wants to spend 1000 dollars every two years on a monitor lol

It's the versatility of the monitor. Play elden ring? Cool, 60hz 4k. You play valorant, csgo, and esport games? Turn the resolution down so you can hit 240hz.
