I have the HT18 and am very happy with it, A two out of three coin toss would be a consideration for buying this one.

Great video man and well thought out and put together! I own SEVERAL Fenix flashlights including this new one and it's my go to Coyote and searching for animals at night light. You cannot beat Fenix flashlights and they beat the heck out of anything Surefire makes. Again great review and great video!

The new tail switch is great but the gen1 has much better runtime and does not stepdown at the one minute mark!! They definetly shoud have left the 150 lumen mode in this torch and an eco mode at 3-6 lumens giving this light much better runtime! Every hunting torch shoud have a low eco mode!! While im impressed with the longer throw and 2800 lumen turbo, im unimpressed wirh the poor runtime and will be sticking to the 1st gen ht18!! Thanks for the great review bro!!

Hi, the ht32 model also seems to be very good, it has a range of 640 meters, and it doesn't have this ridiculous problem of the lumens dropping so much in turbo mode.

yeah I am surprised the HT32 is not more popular, in my opinion, one of the best hunting lights out there right now!

How does it compare to the sure fire ub3t invictus

To me that would be perfect if it was long enough to house two batteries for double the run time @1000 lumens. Maybe it would get too hot and burn out if it were operating that long, but to me, a runtime of around 4 hours @1000 Lumens would be ideal for my needs. Listening Fenix?

A very good 1000 Lumens thrower. I imagine the low lumen mode (150 L) on a hunting light wasn't used much, so it got removed. Such kind of long-throw flashlight is typically utilised at the maximum intensity - the first minute at 2800 Lumens is purely a look-good number meant for sales - it is not Fenix fault if almost all Chinese manufacturers include a very short period of three to five times the typical true&stable light intensity. Depends on the situation, but in general I like the UI and output of the HT18R more

HT 18r or HT 32? wich one has the longest range on red and green? pure led or filter?

In terms of pure LED power the HT18R, but I find the HT32 more technically impressive because of how powerful the colored LEDs are which are integrated into the light. I think realistically the HT18R with the filters are more powerful and have a longer throw for red and green outputs, but that comes with the downside of having to keep track of those filters, but yeah, if you are looking for pure power, the HT18R

In turbo,the step down start at 30 segonds and the lumens down 2800 lum to 1000 lumens in 1 minute,this is not good for this flashlight brand and this price,the turbo mode is inexistent practicaly😢.

Good morning friend, wow, how annoying to know, did you test it with any electronic instrument? Well, I saw in the video the comparison with the Fenix ​​TK 18 being much better in the turbo module.

fenix is going backwards with their runtimes!! Removing the 150 lumen mode is a HUGE mistake!! Also they had a chance to install a MOON MODE in this host but they freakin droped the ball again!! I will stick with the first gen HT18
