@@thomasw4422 For a good reason too, Hermitcraft season 7 got massively revitalized first with the election and again with the civil war, all focused on the shopping district while season 8...didn't really do much. A lot of hermits barely interacted outside of their chosen communities, mainly traveling to shop. So, while the season had some really impressive builds it petered out before damn near anything came to completion. Did Etho and Bdubs have even one race? There were ideas to reconnect the server with no-wings clubs and roads but that's not really enough is it...there NEEDS to be a Hermit centered driving force behind theese things and Bdubs manufactured one.

So kinda like: every time a diamond was thrown in, a piece of dirt or something of little value would be burned, as a way to create the noise and worry people. Etho not being present for the diamond offering feels like a missed opportunity. Everyone is hurting from the sounds of burning while tossing their diamonds into the pit, but Etho is well acquainted with the relationship between that sound and action.

Man, the sun drop fail, I lost it. Scar's face peeping through the window was diamonds.

15:30 17/26 hermits. Astonishing. Though if you take away hermits who wouldn’t have been here regardless of the time/day (Mumbo - biking, Keralis - sick kids, TFC & Wels - haven’t been seen on the server for weeks/months), that showing greatly improves to 17/22, a 12% jump to 77% or 3/4 attendance. Now that is some impressive cat-herding. About the roads and Ren though… I’m pretty certain I heard you say the “I appreciate Ren making the roads, but boy does he suck at it.” to Cleo in her 10th episode. :p Still, this server needs someone to fill this V.I.Position and Ren possesses the theatrics it requires. This should be good.

I think Doc will continue to do that on his own. I hope so at least. Those diamonds aren't in circulation so I hope it doesn't count. Personally, I was interested to see where high inflation would get them, they were about to have inequality problems too.

Seeing all the Hermits in one place this episode made me smile. It's pretty rare outside an episode one to see that. I hope there's more of this in future, like with Empires where they all collaborate with each other on a regular basis. Although I will say it was a complete missed opportunity that no one said "You don't vote for kings" when Ren prompted everyone to vote for him 😂

I love how bdubs tower slowly became hermits condos. Etho in the basement, ren in the attic. What a great place to be!

Now this is hermitcraft, having a king is the kind of thing that made other seasons as well received as they were The most memorable parts of the server are big collabs like this that spiral in to interesting stories, like the civil war and the race for president/mushroom rebellion

I skip forwards to 17:48 and hear Bdubs yelling ‘SHUT UP’. That one made me jump a little bit

Bdubs, this episode had me smiling really wide throughout the whole thing. Your editing adds the perfect kick, and despite my very short attention span (I'm short irl as well lol) your videos always manage to keep me engaged! Mumbo and Doc aren't there so technically speaking they are exempt from the first decree since they were not directly commanded. Plus, Doc has diamond ore which he uses as building blocks. Is the King going to march on up and require that they be switched out lest he is accused of hoarding wealth? So many fun little narrative threads.

Cubs throwing away days to weeks of grinding into the pit... mean while Doc is conveniently missing, probably hiding in a corner of his parameter clutching all his diamon ore blocks muttering to himself "no, no.. huh, what?.. no, no ones taking my redstone wiring support blocks, no one!... aah! Who's there?, huh? What's that?!... no no, no ones taking you my precious!"

We need another ad of the "Cos' she is gaming" series. It was the best ad ever.
