The only issue with any wall is it's easy to dig a tunnel under it, a sky base would be the best for defense but obviously trickier to build

Grian scar

Things that happen every season so far. Scar is the first to lose a life, because of Grian. Scar goes directly into business shenanigans, trying to sell make believe items. Bdubs and Cleo start acting buddy buddy out of nowhere. Tango starts a minigame. Bdubs gets sick and stars building a crastle the same day.

Etho is constantly doing risk assessments - it’s WILD. That moment where you guys filled in the holes because of a potential creeper explosion + getting stuck - that’s honestly tactical genius, it’s evidence that he’s constantly thinking about anything that could happen to leverage some kind of advantage or risk. You guys make suck a great team in that regard; Bdubs brings the creative ideas and Etho figures out how to exploit game mechanics to make them work! Can’t wait to see more.

It's wild because spoiler alert, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened to end Martin's series here, he was fighting Ren, he fell in a (creeper?) hole he couldn't get out of fast enough and choked and lost.

@@aerdwolram3938 I'm actually not sure now that you mention it lol, I remember a time when slabs weren't flammable whatsoever, then I got back into playing the game and decided to build my base over a lava pool lol

I laughed so hard when BDubs was like "YeS I aM Da BoOGie!" and then Etho repeated it quieter 😂 I've got my bets on team B.E.S.T.!

Bdubs and Etho has to be my absolute favourite duo this season.

Bdubs Etho team is my pick for final two. Two highly skilled, experienced players with a great working relationship and ironclad trust. Bdubs getting picked as the first boogey created the most powerful alliance on the server.

B.E.S.T is just *too* good, you have a group of 2 geniuses and 2 loyal sidekicks. Can't wait to see all the shenanigans that that causes!

Scar somehow feels less believable from other peoples perspective.

Tango: no castle Etho: snow castle!

What's interesting to me, watching this series, is that a LOT of people have taken to using historical castle building techniques, maybe without even knowing that that's what they're doing. Using height advantages, building in hard to reach areas, walls and other fortifications. Maybe to some of the players, building a castle is part of just looking cool or something, not much else thought put into it, but I could be wrong! I just think it's really interesting to see people immediately, and seemingly subconsciously, doing the same things that people in the past did. (Because it works :D )

3 thick walls. Snow, cobble, wood. Hidden entrance. In the heat of battle and your swift escapes, anyone in pursuit of you will have to quick switch between all appropriate tools to get through. Anyone who just lost all their stuff will have a struggle being timely. Plus points for getting some deepslate in the wall too lol everyone knows how much of a pain it is to mine deepslate 😆

12:25 I love how excited budbs was of his big move with placing the block but didnt realise he didnt need to put a block in that doorway as either skeletons are 3 blocks tall.

“Stay away from Scar. Don’t trust anything he says.” - Etho As someone who enjoys Scar’s stuff I️ can confirm. I️ started watching Scar to see if he had the same chaotic vibes and he did not disappoint.

Ahh the master of redstone (Etho), and the student who has surpassed the master (Bdubs). Also I really love how these guys constantly think outside the box for the most unconventional strategies and builds.

I was about to skip the add but remembered that BDub makes the best ads.

The bdubs etho team is so entertaining. Just the right combination of tension and cooperation. Like the Odd Couple or Perfect Strangers.

NO NO NO!!! The first swing and miss was on purpose!!!! That's so you could lul Grian into a false sense of security by making him think you were joking!!!!!......(Which he admits was why he didn't fight back. LOL)

You should build a double layered snow wall and fill in the middle with lava, and cover it up on top. So if anyone tries to sneak in by breaking the walls, they'll burn.

Building idea: checkered pattern of snow and wart blocks. You'll need two tools to get through those walls and it'll be so glaringly ugly they can't bear to look at it!

I 100% agree with Etho, BDubs as Boogeyman is terrifying.

Build the overhang out of scaffolding and gravel so half the snow castle is soul sand, and the other half (that people use to go around the soul sand) can be collapsed with one lever.

Quick tip to DOUBLE snow output: Putting two snow golems next to each other (separate blocks) and clicking on a shared corner lets you mine both at the same time! To get them next to each other without letting them wander onto each other’s blocks, put a vertical trapdoor at head height

I have an idea for the soul sand: Place ice underneath the soul sand everywhere except for random routes made by and only known by Etho and Bdubs. That way, castle invaders are extremely slow-moving, but the defenders can still move comparatively quickly, even without SoulSpeed.

I absolutely love how Bdubs manages to make an add out of the fact the he's sick... hahahaha

the series peaked on that moment. It'll take something truly insane to top that first keel.

You could still make a wall out of nether wart blocks if you think you have enough time to grow all that nether wart!

What an awesome episode! I can't wait to see if you guys can actually get soul speed, that would be incredible. Not sure how wide your castle walls will be, but it might be smart to but stone or something between 2 snow blocks so anyone breaking in would have to switch tools and get slowed down

Technically you could actually make the nether wart block out of 4 nether wart, so the castle could still be built out of that

I don’t think he meant to leave it in, but that raw footage near the middle was still pretty entertaining

If y’all built your walls layered out of blocks that required different tools to break ie: snow, stone, wood, wheat; you’d slow anybody down tryna break in.

I like how when Cleo gets close, Bdubs tried to sleep and he can't sleep because "there are monsters nearby"

The ease at which ya assimilated Etho's feedback on hole filling, and your getting it done attitude; sir, add on your speechificating, and speechiness; tether that gold to a hitching post; Perfect

Bdubz... can you please spawn the wither in overworld and just let it wreak havoc. Server so small that it'll be a real problem.

I feel like glass walls would be a good idea too, or at least partially glass? So you can see anyone approaching and also it makes a loud sound when it breaks

Actually, for the warped block, you can subtitute it with Nether Wart Block, since you have access to nether wart, you can craft them... But the bad thing is it took forever to farm... Just a suggestion if you wanna use your first idea tho

If you want to gather snow faster, you can put two next to each other and harvest on the edge so you hit both at once. (Also you might want to use stone since it's the same speed as iron and much cheaper)

I swear bdubs gotta be mastered the art of marketing or something He can even sell himself who is under the weather for a sponsor 😂

bdubs + etho + cleo is the best trio

Hey Bdubs, I know you were going for warped netherwart blocks, but what about the red variant? You could grow the netherwart you got from the fortress and use that for the walls. Only if it doesn't interfere with the aesthetic, of course ;)
