Indian music industry without Shankar Jaikishan is disable. They were Genius. Their each songs . music. Were heart touching. No one has reached that height and no one has given to theirs extended high music like Shankar Jaikishan. Their heigh standard of music is Incomparable. Unbeatable. Untouchable. They music circle is incomplete without their contributions to Bollywood. They were the soul and heart ❤️. ❤️❤️

Ever since my childhood they have been my favorite music directors and two Ghandharvas sent by God to give us wonderful music.

Mahan sangitkar jodi , Great trend setters in golden era. Sabse safal aur popular sangeet bananewale jadugar. Their contribution in taking Hindi Films Music to great height is immense. The variety , classical music , rhythm and bejod synchronization of various instruments in their music made them a class apart. Their music is immortal and will be heard for many more years to come.

Absolutely there won't be any musician like SJ. Their songs touched my entire life right from childhood, its still with me and shall be forever! I am attached to them. I cry for their absence deep inside even as on today!! Songs for all emotions!! Only by JS!!

बोहोत बहोत बढ़े संगीतकार आये और आ कर चले गये पर शंकर जयकिशन के ज्ञान का कोई जवाब नहीं। यदि बढ़ते क्रम में एक लिस्ट बनाई जाय (सभी संगीतकारों की) तो शंकर जयकिशन का नाम प्रथम स्थान पर रहेगा । "प्यार हुआ..., या बे दर्दे दी बालमा तुझको मेरा मन याद...., या आवाज़ देके हमें तुम..., ये मेरा दिवाना पन है या मौहबत का सरुर ... और न जाने ऐसे सैंकड़ों गाने कितनी ही बार सुनो मन नहीं भरता । इस महान जोड़ी की तारीफ के लिए मेरे पास शब्द नहीं ।

Shankar ji ki death tragedy thee. Many say that it was not normal, that is why his body was cremated before dawn. The doctor who gave death certificate, the cremation ground person, who allowed cremation fled from the spot since that day. Since no prominent person from industry pursued the matter, the case died itself. Shanker ji did not have any issue from his blood. His family was step family. Big names remained shut on this matter.

@@ramagobindaacharya358 dada what did you mean by aap ke paas samay kam hai ? Are you not well ? Hope you are in sound health. However, Due to frame to frame copy of the scenes, the producer of Knock on wood filed a case and the court had order to destroy the prints of Begunah by burning them. However, National Film Archive of India has got few reels of the film in which the scene of Jaikishan ji singing Ae Pyase Dil Bejuban is there with full song. Unfortunately till now the matter is pending for approval since they are in search of that particular Court Order. Unless it is found, cant say what will be the fate of the reels and us, the fans of SJ

Prof. Saab, after listening to the songs composed by them(not all) I observed that after a certain period it was not difficult to identify which was the song composed by shankar and similarly by Jaikishen. I hope you will agree with me Another, point, it was Jaikishen who was the PRO who use to discuss the terms and conditions with producers. I think Shammi Kapoor said this.

I have seen that video where Shammi Kapoor said it. Shankar was a straight forward and a little bit hot temperament person. On the contrary, Jackishanji was soft spoken easy going and easy to deal with. The the most important thing is that together they were just wonderful and the Best music directors of all time.

आदरणीय प्रोफे साहेब. Behtarin jankari के लिए आपका हृदय से आभार। जैकिशन जी को संगीत की jankari विरासत में ही मिली थी। सब कुछ अपने गाँव बसंदा में बड़े भाई से भजन मंडली में सीख लिया। दोनों महान हस्तियों की स्मृति को नमन करता हूँ। लेख टंडन जी भी सीधे साधे दयालु इंसान थे।

Shankar Jaikishan were surely good music directors but not only they, every music director had it's own wonderful style one can't undervalue Naushad the great, Ravi, Madan Mohan, Roshan, Chitr gupt, SD Burman etc.

Both are the gems of India.

There will none to fill up this great SJ pair ai am great fan of them till this date there is musian to replace them in our film industry ❤

I disagree with his assessment of mera naam joker. Ae bhai zara dekh ke chalo, kaate na kate raina, sadqay heer hum fakeer, kehta hai joker are all fantastic songs. Personally, of all the RK banner albums, I would rate it below only to Shree 420, JSDMGBH, AWARA and Aah

Asal me Shankar ji ka objection gate waqt daso dishao ke uchharan ko leke tha .Mannade ji ne apne interview me Abhijit Desai ko (book GANI BAJAWANI) pura kissa bataya .kafi bahas ke bad Raj Kapoor ke ashwasan par ki agar gana achha nahi laga to badme badal denge.Lekin Lataji ke gane me koi dikkat nahi hui.aur fil sabhi thik ho gaya.

@@shankerjaikishan yes The book name is GANI BAJAVANI by Abhijit Desai 2005 first edition but in Marathi .Very authentic and informative book with interview of many celebrities including Lata Mangeshkar mannade.....

Absolutely correct. Shanker Jaikishan paid back more than 10 times. Everyone knows that when they were charging even 5 lac, they were on payroll of RK. They were loyal to RK.

Why you give Lata she was cheater.

They were BS Artists! Experts of Copy and Paste / Cut and Paste. At least two songs of Awara, "Awara Hoon" was taken from "Waves of Danube" by Iosif Ivanovici of Romania and "Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi" was taken from "Ala Baladi Elmahboub" by Umm Kalthum of Egypt. Now do the rest of the Homework by yourselves!

Audience reject disgusting, boring, repeated storytelling, lacking innovative sooner or later. SJ copied from Opera House 60 to Jane Anjan 71 to lost of the creativity

This is very disgusting statement. Not only SJ, but every music director copied one or more song, it doesn't mean the empire of Shankar Jaikishan was erected on copied tunes. A sweeping statement like this is not fair.
