​@@healthmedia9455 SJ has composed more than 1500 songs with variety in genre and more than 80% are superhit songs .No doubt Naushad has also given very good music but was range bound .Moreover he took C Ramchandra's tune from Insaniyat movie of 1955 for thefilm Kohinoor of1960 .Gori i karle tu Aaj singar rasiya dwar khade .

@@Junglee64 many of SJs songs were inspired and reworked on naushads base tunes..not only songs there background score also..many of naushads background score was used by SJ for theirs songs..

Thank you Sudarshan ji for uploading this last Jaimala of Shankerji. Shankerji recalls Jaikishan and Mukeshji, and says Aye mere dil kahin aur chal was composed by Jaikishan, Shankerji had played the piano with Robert Correa in Dost dost na raha song, etc.

I am also a great fan of SJ , as far as my memory goes as I am now 75 yrs. both of them have not presented the Jaimala program. Jaikishan presented once and this one by Shankarji.

I am 71 years old as of now and if I remember correctly Post 1965 war with Pakistan, there was a huge enthusiasm among public in favor of our armed forces. The public had put up booths at all over the places making available hot drinks, cold drinks, snacks and food items free of cost to members of armed forces. This was a government under able leadership of Lal Bahadur Shastri who had come from the lower rung of our society. Government too announced so many goodies for the armed forces among these was number of programs aired on Akashwani in the service of armed forces. Vividh Bharti was in the lead coming out with three JAIMALA programs one in the morning from 8.00 AM to 9.00 AM airing film songs, second one from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM again airing film songs then there used to one from 6.45 PM to 7.45 PM which aired songs on forces request. All these programs were aptly called JAIMALA and were extremely popular among general public as much as with forces. Saturday evening program used to be special when a film personality would be invited to present Jaimal there used to be repeat broadcast of this program on Sunday also. I hazily remember both Shanker & Jaikishan presenting one in 1966 probably it was third or fourth program in series where they had played songs from Poonam, PatRani and the likes. I became an ardent fan of Shanker-Jaikishan from that program onwards. I was then 15 years of age and Jaikishan saheb started on his celestial journey just after about 5 years of this presentation.

क्षमा याचना...... शंकर साहब द्वारा प्रस्तुत यह मूल जयमाला कार्यक्रम नहीं है।यह उनके किसी और कार्यक्रम का हिस्सा है। विविध भारती के लिए शंकर साहब ने सन् १९७६ में जयमाला कार्यक्रम रिकॉर्ड किया था। जिसमें उन्होंने अपनी शुरुआती फिल्मों का जिक्र किया है और ओपी नैयर तथा सचिन देव बर्मन साहब को विशेष रूप से याद किया है। मैंने यह कार्यक्रम सन् १९७८ में विविध भारती प्रोग्राम में सुना था जिसे आप भी यू-टयूब पर सुन सकते हैं।

भाई साहब शंकर जी ने तीन जयमाला पेश किये थे एक जयकिशन जी के साथ, दो जयकिशन जी के जाने के बाद यह उन दोनों मे से पहला वाला है, जिसे बहुत दिनों से हम तलाश कर रहे थे. इसमें शंकर जी की अपनी खुद की आवाज़ है..

मैं भी इस रिकॉर्डिंग को पहली बार सुन रहा हूँ, लेकिन पूरे कार्यक्रम में बार बार 'फ़ौजी भाइयो' कह कर सम्बोधित किया गया है इसलिए किसी और कार्यक्रम का हिस्सा होने का प्रश्न ही नहीं उठता. अब सुदर्शन जी ने स्पष्ट कर ही दिया है.

Jaikishen had leaked to the media that ' ye mera prem patra' was composed by him and then shankar replied with ' Sare raaz khul gaye, raazdar na raha'

Prempal Singh Verma ji. Ap jis Jaimala ki baat karte hain woh Jaikishanji ke maut ke baad par Mukeshji ke maut ke kuch din pehle ka tha. Yeh Jaimala Shankerji ka uske. baad ka hai jo unhone Mukeshji ke chale jane ke baad diya tha.

They were never jealous of each other's work rather proud of each other's work, both were geniuses!

पाण्डेय जी आप ने हमारे जैसे करोड़ों शंकरजयकिशन के चाहनेवालों के ऊपर बहुत बडा उपकार किया है ऐसे महान व्यक्ति का कार्यक्रम प्रेसित करके. कुछ लोग बोलते है शंकर जी बड़े उग्र मिजाजी थे लेकिन इस कार्यक्रम में इतनी सौम्य भाषा बोलनेवाले इन्सान को कैसे उग्र मिजाजी मान ले. इस हर-दिल-अजीज कार्यक्रम को यहाँ प्रस्तुत करने के लिए आपका तहे दिल से शुक्रिया, आभार..

शंकर जी की सीधी बात कहने की आदत फिल्मी लोगों को पसंद नहीं थी.. ग़लत को ग़लत ही कहते थे, और सब से बड़ी बात उनके मुँह पर ही कहते थे. इसलिए उनके बारे मे जानबूझ कर यह बात फैलायी गयी थी. फिर उनका व्यक्तित्व ही रौब वाला था. मैं खुद 1985 मे मुंबई गया था. उनसे मिलने की बहुत चाह थी. लेकिन उन अफवाहों से डर कर मैं उनसे मिलने नहीं गया. लेकिन उनसे आज तक जितने भी लोग मिल चुके हैं, सब ने उनकी तारीफ ही की. बड़े प्यार से लोगों से मिलते थे. अपने musicians से बातें भी करते.

SJ were miracle of Hindi films to bring simfony as_well_as classical music.We miss them very much.

Excellent presentation. Both Shankar Sahab and Jaikishan Sahab were the emperors of Bollywood Music. Both these Musicians Duo composed many immortal songs for Hindi Films. Great command over Ragas and Musical instruments by both these very talented Music Composers. My humble tributes to both these legends and great Music Composers. Legends never die. So much creativity, so much versatility for every occasions of the story in raga based classical or both western orianted instruments jazz, ballads, pop, ....superb songs with super preludes, all are masterpieces themselves outside the film, yes yrs after the film popularity gone exists for ever for our enjoyment. No Rehman,no other MD come nearer to them.But for them glorified,each movie made with 6 songs all are catchy.Aminsayani cannot have choice to determine which sSj s song to put in cibacageet mala.thats why it was decided to select 2 songs per film. Yahudi,kathputli, love marriage,Abadi,chorochori,rajhuth,chotibehan,shararat,mainnasemeinhoon, Dilapna,Singapore,jisdesh mein,sasural,aaskapanchi,Junglee,jabpyarkISISEhotahai,aslinaqli,professor,dilteradiwana,Ashiq,humrahi,dilekmanfir,Sangam,apnehuveparayi,ayeemilankibela,ekdilsauafsane,sanjaursavera,,betibete,qprilfool,Rajkumar,arzoo,Janwar,Gumnaam,Suraj, love-in Tokyo,Amrapali,teesrikasam,rataurdin.Still cord What a music People used to throng theatres but forSJbrilliant. SJ were all time greatest MDs of bollywood but the most surprising thing is the unexpected demise of Shankarji at the age of 65 ,he was fit , never touched alcohol and tobacco , used to do exercise , had no ailments. More skeptical is the fact that his last rites were done hastily and surreptitiously without informing anyone in bollywood . I smell some conspiracy , he should've stayed for at least 10 more years to give more hit numbers in 90s. What could've been his type of music in 90s ,this could've been very interesting to see but unfortunately it didn't happen.

Really it would have been very interesting because before his death, he has firmly decided to come back with a bang. The music of his last released film Gori (1992) is a sample. But suddenly fate snatched him. Many people smelled the rat behind the behavior of his step sons and wife. You know the film industry, no one came further since his so called wife was related to some strong politicians in the Government as well as several persons who were very powerful. Though few tabloids openly mentioned doubt, but they had no impressive voices. Shanker ji was healthy despite of suffering from diabetes and heart attacks.. Lastly we can say that time was not in favour of him.

@@sudarshanpandeysjfan4230 Or could it have been a natural death as Shankarji suffered from a minor heart attack in the 60s but he revived from it but then only one person Mr Bhosle saw him the day of 25th April , only on 27th April others came to know that he has passed away and has already been cremated and newspaper didn't give much coverage to his death's news. what was the need of this hurry and in such a suspicious manner ? only god knows what happened . Anyhow, sir can you please upload some rare SJ-KK combo songs on KZread ?,This is an extremely underrated combination they did produce some gems together like Zindagi ek safar hai suhana ,Bhanwre ki Gunjan ,Aap Yahan Aaye ,Tum Kitni Khoobsurat ho, Aakhon Aakhon Mein Baat hone do ,Chamka Paseena,Tu Jahan Main Wahan, Chhatri na khol etc. Had SJ considered seriously it could've been a deadly combination .I think Shankerji had grown fond of Kishoreji and gave him around 80 songs from 1972 till 87 .Please Upload some lesser heard of gems like Tera Shabab Tauba Tauba, Dekha hai tumhe kahin na kahin ,Aiyo na Maro etc .

@@sudarshanpandeysjfan4230 Sudarshan ji, why credit for at least some songs of Gori was not given to Shanker-Jaikishan brand. Weren't Sudhakar Sharma and Enoch Daniels fans of SJ? Why the composer's name was mentioned as Enoch Daniels, simply because he was the arranger? Sudhakar Sharma who was the director of the film and lauds of Shankerji couldn't do anything?

No other MD could have used Manna Dey, the way SJ did. Hats off to them No one will come close to SJ even in future.
