What a nice pair to watch. They were together and she was riding this horse and he was listening and feeling every word. And the best part of the ride was the rider was smiling!

Looks like the horse was trained in draw reins. Head low and behind the vertical, lookin at the ground.

Toes way too far out for someone of that level.

Actually her toes are exactly where they should be. She is a top level rider. You are not. If you read the rule book than you would know how false you are.

Toes not being straight isn’t as big of a deal as it used to be. It is “outdated”. Other parts of her position are placed of higher importance.

Long shank bit is not part of true horsemanship.

@@lazyloperboy301 Bits in general, and long shank bits specifically, are pain compliance devices. When practicing true horsemanship one does not cause the horse pain to get a desired result. One works to develop mutual trust and respect. One works to make the horse comfortable and feel secure through your leadership.

@@gerrycoleman7290 i don't agree. The bit does not have a particularly long shank. And a bit is only as severe a as the hand that uses it. Her hands are incredibly light.

@@lazyloperboy301 When there is a shank the degree of force felt by the horse is increased.. If one applies 5 lbs of pressure through the rider hands, the horse feels 25 lbs of pressure in his mouth with a 5 inch shank.

That's the beauty of a shank bit. You get ride with 2 ounces of pressure on your reins yet your horse can still feel your cues. The pressure is unbelievably light. If this horse was in pain you would see it. But why even bring up horsemanship with this video? Horsemanship in this video simply means a western pattern class.
