A Journey Through The Andromeda Galaxy

Ғылым және технология

Galaxy
Andromeda is a large spiral galaxy, a big monster of about 1 trillion solar masses.
It lies about 2.5 million light years away from the Earth, but this distance will shorten with time because Andromeda is moving towards us at the crazy speed of 68 miles (110 kilometers) per second. In some billion years,b it will collide with our galaxy. This will be the collision of the two largest galaxies in our Local Group!
Eventually, the two galaxies will merge into one.
Scientists often refer to the new object as Milkdromeda, but I’m sure there could be better names for it. What would you call it? Let us know in the comments!
Andromeda is a really interesting galaxy, and it has always played a crucial role in helping us understand our place in the universe. This video will show you everything that you need to know.
Oh, I almost forgot: our cute neighbor is an evil cannibal galaxy. We'll talk about this as well: don't miss out!
How to spot Andromeda
The Andromeda galaxy is the second most famous galaxy in astronomy, after the Milky Way, at least for us humans! According to the standard astronomical classifications, we can identify 4 types of galaxies: spiral; barred spiral; elliptical, and irregular.

One thing I thought was insane, when the galaxies colide, not one star will collide with another. If that doesn't explain the size of these monsters, nothing will!

Just think of the vastness to traverse from our galaxy to Andromeda. Unimaginable. I watched another video stating how the space between galaxies would be a barren, cold wasteland of darkness and the orphan planets would be solid ice in utter blackness. I saw an episode of the Original Series of Star Trek where they were traveling to Andromeda and you would just see the spiral galaxy in the darkness in the distance.

The gravity a human feels is mostly due to the planet they are on so yes. The gravitational force from the Galaxy is more of a constant force pulling you in one direction

We will find that we're surrounded by intelligent life, of varying levels, who may or may not have visited our system, but certainly know about us or at least that earth is here with life on it. Many are probably machines; but life was not created on earth. It was created along with the universe and is likely pretty evenly distributed, which means there are probably trillions of intelligent civilizations in the universe.

The best suggestion I've heard for the name of our galaxy after the Andromeda collision is the "Amber Egg" galaxy. Its descriptive for how it will look and isnt laughable like "Milkdromeda" 😏 Ofc that's a name for us. In 5 million years, im guessing English will be a dead language 🤷‍♀️

Amazing that the universe is expanding, (moving APART)) yet the galaxies are still trying to collide, possibly due to gravitation pull and relative crowdedness of webs/voids Cosmo. The radial acceleration (bm^2) in term of vector with direction and magnitude should be calculable, if so, we should be able to trace backward toward the epicenter or the very beginning (alpha) and time it started, toward the infinite circular periphery (omega) with tremendous gravitational pull if it exists even just one-verse. JWST will accumulate more data for us.

My idea so I get to name it! Voyager 1 is now in interstellar time or "Mikey's Time." "V-ger's" message is sped up now that it's outside our suns time bubble or "Terran Time." It would be faster still if "V-ger" sent a message from beyond the Milky Way's time bubble. (That name is still up for grabs.) Then there's Outside the Local Group time bubble, so on and so on until we get to the, "True Interstellar Time Standard." Now that "Vyger" is in interstellar space, it's also in the Milky Way's STANDARD, faster moving, interstellar time or "Mikey's Time." This can be proven by turning off everything except its clock and transmitter. Have "Vyger" and the IP read time for as long as possible. They WILL show the flow of time speeds up the further away you from any celestial bodies. Until you reach the time standard. •Our sun's time bubble: "Terran Time" we know and have measured. •Milky Way's time bubble or "Mikey's Time." The rate/flow of TIME outside any influence but within the Milky Way: We just got there and are still figuring. Wild guess I'd say time will increase in speed, now and until Vyger is outside the Ort cloud .007-.07% faster, maybe. Just for reference. •Local Group's time bubble or the rate/flow of time outside of any influence but within the Local Group: Name still open and unknown. Wild guess .08% to a couple seconds faster, maybe. Used just for reference. •Outside any influence in the, "True Interstellar Time Standard," or...;-P Name NOT up for grabs BUT just begging to be measured. The rate/flow of time is fastest here so, surfing time here is choice. Though it's best to have your motor boat. ;-P A minute is a minute in all. It's the rate/flow I'm talking about. The Milky Way's Interstellar Time Standard will be known as, "Mikey's Time." Pass it on, please and thank you.

I find the comment that the Milky Way is as large as Andromeda to be disputable. The mass of a galaxy's central supermassive black hole, tends to be proportional to the overall mass of the galaxy. The central supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way, is a little over 4 million solar masses. The central supermassive black hole at the center of the Andromeda galaxy, is over 12 million solar masses. This tells me that Andromeda is MUCH more massive than the Milky Way.

It is bigger it is 220 000 lightyears in diameter to the milky ways 110 000 it has over 1 trillion stars compared to the upper most estimate of 400 billion for the milky way. The only way the milky way matches it in mass is because scientist think the milky way is heavier in dark matter.
