He does chew his food. But mostly those parts are cut or fast forwarded. To make the mukbang more appealing they usually only show the slurping part.

He actually doesn't enjoy food, he devour and shoved them down his throat, I find it quite gross..people thinks he loves food and likes to watch him eat but it quite disgusting. I do love sung hoon as an actor thought.

There's a fact that the less you chew your food, the more you eat. I think the reason why he needs to eat more, is because he doesn't chew much and just shovels and swallows everything. Considering he's an actor, whenever he goes on a diet, he needs to eat slower and chew more.
