I’m glad you understood the “Yeah it ain’t perfect, but it is not that bad either. Especially at $200” concept. My kids will be happy with that picture quality, and I will be happy with the price. At that price point I won’t lose it if the kids are playing outside knock it over or spill their juice box all over it.

I just bought this after watching this. Thanks! It was like $185 US dollars. I just wanted a cheap setup that I could take outside so I didn’t have to takedown and carry my indoor TV outside anymore.

The only thing that could be better would be to buy two more and run triples :) no bezels to worry about either..... you're going to need a bigger wall lol. I had a 1080i Benq projector back in 2014 and it was awesome, 8ft display was fantastic for 4 player mario kart. Rear projection could be interesting for a sim rig so you don't cast a shadow on it. If I was to buy another projector I would definitely invest in a screen for the best possible image. A white wall works but an ambient light rejecting screen would make it that much better. Very well timed video mate thank you, I've been consumed by this idea last few days and researching loads of different projectors. Great to have a SIM racer like yourself, with the DIY background, knowing what a good triple screen is like etc, giving an authentic opinion on what this would be like as an experience. I bought one (had to from Amazon US, the code didn't work there unfortunately). Question: were you running wireless/miracast or direct hdmi? To guage the input lag.

I just had a good idea watching this video. Projectors would be great for vertical orientation retro games as well!!

This is actually how I am currently doing my sim racing. I got a playseat for Christmas and my first wheel. I use a much nicer projector that's 1080p with 120hz. Very bright also and have it on a 12' projector screen. It's incredibly immersive. My son absolutely loves playing couch co-op games on it as he and his friends all have their own huge screen. Great video and Projector gaming is a great option.

This is something I had not considered for flight simming. Also means it wouldn't quite dominate a room like 3 C1's heh.
