a girls' generation guide REACTION pt. 1 (Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany) | 🧊 CAN I BE A S♡NE??

Музыка

Sorry this took so long - it was daunting trying to fit it into my recording schedule, but I know I really wanted to do this and it's finally here! This has been an AMAZING guide btw. Has a lot of awesome clips of the girls, that showcase their personalities and the group dynamics, while sprinkling in some of the music too!

When Tiffany gave that last interview was during The Boys era. During that time they were extremely overworked even more than usual. Not sleeping in days or only half sleeping during flights, being in 4 or 5 different countries in a week, performing as soon as they got out of planes, etc. Still during these days we got so many great live performances like their French TV debut (being the first kpop act to perform live in French TV), their David Letterman performance (being the first kpop act to perform on a late show, the most popular late show) and their performance at Live with Kelly which was also great. Not to mention they were camera ready for countless interviews, did fanmeets, and kept going back to Korea for tv appearances and live performances. They were everywhere and so tired but it barely showed. Their work ethics and energy was out of this world. SNSD during their career almost never took time for health issues, and had very little rest time since even between comebacks their individual presence in media was still very uninterrupted plus some of them managed to graduate from university while the group was still active. They completely deserve the praise they get (in my opinion their achievements are still unappreciated) and they deserve to be enjoying their success in their careers. Specially since they all managed to make individual careers for themselves without neglecting the group which must have been much more difficult.

Yup. At the Soshified Fan Meet in New York, they performed The Boys for the fans on the rather small stage, and Yoona twisted her ankle...you can see the pain on her face when it happens, but she carried on dancing (while you can see she's having problems) and then quickly hobbled off stage for a couple of minutes while the rest of the girls got seated for the fan session...but she returned to participate in that.

51:45 eye smile was tiffany's thing and sunny's aegyo. Singing sounding like a divorcee, center/face of the group etc there's just lots of labels from old kpop that came from snsd and new kpop fans used for their faves its crazy to witness the whole thing.

SNSD is a group of full time comedians and part time idols.

I was about to disagree, and say they were full-time 'idols' too, but you are correct....while serious about their performances, they never let their fame and the artifice of 'show business' and celebrity overtake them. They were and remain so natural with each other and the fans, and I think their free spirits and 'shamelessness' really endeared then to the general Korean population....polling showed they were popular with every age group, not just the expected 20-30 demographic. I think this is why they were called "the NATION'S Girl Group"' (beyond being 'merely' the #1 Girl Group). My first exposure to SNSD (in 2019!) was through Girls Go To School' and it was their personalities and group dynamic that captivated me first and foremost, before I ever got into their discography. .

@@simonwaugh5519 yes you are very correct, they are so amazing that even adults loved them during their era. i really love how they show their skills on variety shows. they are just so funny and adorable, they don,t even fear to show their inner selves on televisions. that's why i said they are full time comedians and part time idols but that's not really the fact you know 😄😄

19:32 best believe they studied snsd all trainee years as was claimed by insiders of the business.. snsd is the blueprint as they say. You can read some managers or former sm people working with new groups for some new company. Training included how snsd conduct interviews, fanmeets, and concerts not just their mvs. It was unheard of to become goofy in tv as female idols need to maintain an image but since snsd shattered that during their rookie years you can find the next gen to have goofy members as well. Look at their running man episode with the mud, no other popular gg can do it like them and still have brand endorsements of "luxury" products.

Yep. That mud episode made me a SNSD fan. 😅 Although there are some physically weak members, I think they really gave it their all which made it fun and entertaining.

@@JC_0903 for me it was when I saw them eating on some stairs like construction workers with lunch boxes and everything. Its was unheard of in my country for stars to do that and this was when they already blew up with gee. But yeah that running man episode is their variety signature lol

Thanks for reacting to my 9 comedienne idols. I become a SNSD fan because of their guesting in Running Man (episode 254). 3:36 I think sone is pronounced either as "so-one" or "so-won" that means "wish."

Only some trained that long 'cause they auditioned young and sm never found them a place to debut or they got the 2n1 deal (meaning they wanted a trainee but the parents insisted to take the other one as well like in jessica's case where sm only wanted her sister Krystal lol) but others only trained for 2-3 or so years like tiffany or Taeyeon.

  • @hannathatsme9086

No sm really wanted both jessica and krystal but their parents only allowed jessica because krystal was too young at that time compare to jessica. Even for jessica she only go training to the company only in the weekend cause her mom want her to focused more to school. This was comfirm by jessica and the person who found them at the mall.

@@hannathatsme9086 nah, the person at the mall wanted only krystal but their parents wanted to include jessica so she wont feel left out. What kind of revisionist history is this? 😂 She trained as long as hyoyeon dude, like almost 10 years and not debuting or any side projects at all lmao compared to some who just went for 2-3 years then debut. Sm dropped her without a second thought, thats her value to the company 😂

35:43 its funny during that time but reading her book and reading her thoughts about the members this episode where she took pics was probably so she could trash talk about "fat" members or other unsavory physical stuff. She's just mean and the ice princess moniker was a pr cover 'cause she hits people a lot and say mean things like repeatedly say Hyo is ugly all in "jest" ofc but it stayed with Hyo.
