The last great 15 round war. Qawi was on the downhill of his career and evader was on the way up. Qawi is so underrated. Props to your channel for keeping the old fighters legacies alive.

Qawi Camden legend 💯
Quawi was shaking off Hollyfield's punches like he was getting hit with a feather duster..
I never get tired of watching these two boxers, for years and years
This is a really great fighr, an all-time great fight, probably the best cruiserweight fight ever. The Cruiserweight limit at this time was 190 pounds, about the same weight as most heavyweights were up until about the late 1950s. So Holyfield and Qawi were big enough to hit very hard but also fast, athletic, and able to fight at a great pace for a full 15 rounds. Yes a real gem from the past.
Dwight Muhammad Qavi is a OG warrior. He is a legend. He is no joke

Being an ex fighter myself from Camden NJ.,home of Qawi Braxton. He was an inspiration for me during those days .I used to get up @5am to go running and had the pleasure of meeting him at cooper river park where most fighters ran the 5.2 miles around the park, that's where I met him ,also met Rocky lockridge who defeated Roger Mayweather to capture the title in the featherweight division.Good times.great memories. Whoo!
Qwai is a true legend a real champion a BEAST

Indeed.
This fight ranks within one of the top ten greatest fights, preserved on film, of all time in any division, not just the cruiserweight division.
So height isn't always a dominant factor when it comes to fighting.

Watch Qawi (in this clip) beat Saad Muhammad soundly in two fights. Saad seemed so afraid in those fights.

Height is often a detrimental asset in fights. Strength speed and weight are more significant aspects. Height just so happens to correlate with weight most of the time and so does Strength. But these things are changeable.

Only if you make it! Both have advantages and disadvantages. Bigger the person, averagely more power when using body mass behind punches but less mobility and sloppy footwork and wind… Top heavyweight boxers are 5 footers like Him, Mike, Rocky Marciano, Tommy burns, Sam Langford, James lights out Toney, butterbean, Roy jones, Archie Moore…. Just improving power, speed, strength, endurance and importantly skills will take you far

You will never see a fight like that again unbeatable both men so fit
Man today's boxers would have veen destroyed from a fight like this. Just look at the sheer amount of punchers the two fighters took
I saw Holyfield take more solid, full blown power punches in this fight than I've seen anyone else take and not go down. That juice goes a long way.

@@augustusmaximus891they propably don't mean steroids, probs just like Holyfield has a large stamina tank and juice as the fuel in that tank.
Big fan of Holyfield. Never heard of Qawi. Thanks. I am barely 30.

Pretty good fight. No hugging, just punching. Lose a pound a round. I need to go about 40 rounds. Damn thyroid.
This is the fight that let me know the heart and chin that Holyfield had
Qawi 5'5 foot dynamo.
I miss watching boxing on the Wide World of Sports growing up in the 70s/80s.

Qawi underestimated the toughness of Evander. Qawi felt his experience would give him the edge over Evander.

@@musicandboxing7370and yall Tyson haters forget he partied with Bobby Brown all night before the fight and he neglected his training. Buster came in the best shape of his career. If Evander had this much trouble from Qawi in the 80s Tyson would had merced him. Don't get me wrong Evander was a bad Mutha fucker but he wasn't ready for Tyson in the 80s
I’m just gonna say what everyone knows but won’t admit. Evander NEVER DID ROIDS!

That first fight that ended on a d.q for Holyfield was b.s
Qawi's chin looks ridiculous
💥💥💥💥💥💥
Qavi should have won that match. Altho Holyfield gave a good showing, he didn't beat him decidedly.
Qawi was the hardest puncher in business for his weight. This match should have been declared a draw. Both were great worriers.
Skin shift Deji vimmaculate drip
Yeah. He's indeed Qawi wish mean strong in Arabic language. Punch from the first minute to the last minute. Our generations have missed a lot... I have just heard of Qawi today in 2024... didn't know a boxer like that existed 😂😂
Bro lost 15lbs in a fight 😭
Why was the punch illegal, i ask before even viewing it and listening to it where it’s at in the clip.
Evander was ripped off in the Olympics, he took it like a man, but it’s not right!
🤜🤛
Qawi said that Holyfield was on steroids.

15 lbs!!!!!!!

first time i ever heard of qawi???
Yall commentators are so amateurish! Really! Oh Qawi never walk forward without throwing a punch. Bullsht!😅 i just watched him move forward without throwing a single punch 👊
Bro where’s the Terence Crawford Vs Errol Spence video you only show love to the older boxers
Qawi is clearly at a disadvantage when it comes to reach, an obvious observation. Evander can’t have been that great or Qawi is the good one. Didn’t detail study it, i boxed some in my youth but i’m no expert.
Aoooo boring …back to mua thai
Qawi can smesh heavyweights these days
Great shit!!! CMD 🫡
