@@robertrosenberg7862He cheated himself with his excesses and with not focusing on the leeches around him, Don King, close “so called” friends and Robin Givens. The flip side to that is that in ‘87 in the middle of his prime years “86-‘88 he was partying in New York City constantly and STILL knocking everybody out. In believing he was a “GOD” like Cus told him, he didn’t put in the work like he used to in training while under Cus. 💯

Right? If this Jake Paul thing actually happens... I don't know if the Boy really understands just what he's getting into the ring with. Seen alot of guys saying "he just ah old man" ummm... if someone runs you down with a 1966 Chevy pickup truck? It's gonna fuck you up just as much as a 2024 Chevy pickup truck. Just sayin. Mike just needs to hit Paul ONCE. One clean hit - and that fight is over. Done. He's going up a guy that was a first round knockout artist. He still has power, and he still has the technique. Sure, this isn't 1989... he's slower than he used to be, stamina won't be as good, and he's probably not as strong as he once was. But I've seen videos of him sparring. He still goes at guys like a juggernaut. The weird, crouching, bobbing, hunched shoulder chin down always pushing forward relentless charging thing he does? He's still got it.

He was probably the best at lowline headmovement, look how many lazy jabs he punishes by slipping and ripping. I think what separate Tyson from the rest of the boxers was that Tyson was a natural fighter, he was beating up full grown men at 11 years old. Most of the great boxers even Ali all started out more “normal” and developed throughout the years, Tyson was just a born killer

Bruno and Biggs were some LARGE dudes, but Tyson was just a ball of fury that destroyed damn near anything or anyone in his way. Just an absolute unit of a fighter

I love watching Tyson fights.. he capitalizes on any weakness/opening he sees.. It really is amazing... and I love to way he almost punches the person in order to keep them up so he can continues a flurry of punches as you are already seeing stars... haha

The Pinklin Thomas fight was the most brutal by far, the Pink man ate bout 6-8 punches to the head before he went down! Very short, brutal fight.

No man on Earth, when Mike Tyson was 18 to 35 years old. Regardless of their ability in any other marshal arts. Mike would have crushed them. No man on Earth could beat him in a fight, plain and simple truth when mike was at his peak in those years. Love and admire you Mike.

I can’t talk about the 90s and not mention the man I just saw a picture of on a box of blunt wraps in the gas station…the one and only Mike Tyson!!! Back then, there were so many celebrities who were so huge and influential but in the black celebrity world it was all about Jordan, 2pac, Oprah and Mike Tyson. He’s the reason “Pay-per-View Tyson Fight Parties” was a real thing. The night Pac got hit we were watching that fight across the street at my partner Alfred (back then we called him Anthony) house at his stepdad A.J. fight party. Night he bit off Holyfield ear in ‘97 we were actually having the fight party and the house was full of people. We all stopped like “What the fuck just happened??” That was a major story back in the summer of ‘97…I thought he would never be allowed to fight again after that. His life has been covered so extensively and he still has that edge about him where I wouldn’t go out my way to mess with him. I’m just glad he’s doing well cause the media took him through a lot. Some of it was deserved but he got a bad wrap sometimes when it wasn’t warranted. Much continued success and happiness, Mike.
