A Dirty finger nails Plain Jane ClassicJacklore Plain Jane Classic Bushcraft knife

This is what I call a Simple but elegant knife, a "Plain Jane" :)
Sometimes simple is best.
A Plain Jane is a "Slightly" lower build value knife as it lacks Liners and a belt dangler.
Liners in this modern age of Stabilised woods and High strength epoxies are no longer necessary, they are just an Aesthetic, but in the past when glue's were not so good they acted as a Gasket between the wood and the steel. Some woods like Oak also contain tannins which could corrode the tang.
I am working on a Batch of "Plain Janes" at the moment, they are all going to be built to a similar spec as the knife seen in the video, so anyone who has showed an interest, this is what you'll get.
I also feel that the omission of liners somehow enhances the tapered tang.
Personally I prefer the simpler knife:)

I second this sentiment. There is an elegance to this sort of simplicity, a refinement of design married to function. I wish I was more of a social media person so I could try to get me name in the hat for such a beauty. Simply exquisite.

@@Jackloreknives I bought a new set of Japanese whetstones the other day and spent the next 5hrs sharpening every kitchen knife I have. Then realise that I have developed a habit of holding the knives with one of my finger tips over the edge so that it very slightly drags that finger tip on the surface of the stone. To sharpen one knife you hardly notice it, but 5 in a row and no finger prints left on that finger 🫤😂
