Glad you pointed out that prep is most of the work. That’s why I shrug when I see people commenting on product reviews saying a product doesn’t last, and you see their picture of an old contaminated swirled up beater car. The same prep is even more critical before a true ceramic coating.

Hey Jason, I used to own a red GTI like your's. I chipped the rear edge of the bonnet paint lifting up the wipers like you did. And then I found out about "VW wiper service position" which moves the wipers up to the top of their stroke allowing you to hinge them out away from the screen. Full access to the screen for cleaning and much easier to get to the cowl also. Your car looked awesome at the finish, great job mate.

Thanks a lot for the time and effort you put into your educational/informative videos. As a learner it’s really helpful. A couple questions: 1. How much paint correction would a new, factory-ordered vehicle require if you picked it up as soon as it hit the dealer? 2. I don’t have a garage at home and would love to get into detailing my vehicles. Is it a total waste to do paint correction / ceramic coating without a garage (and definitely no clean room)? Thanks again.

I love your channel! I really enjoy cleaning cars and I have learned so much watching you. I noticed it took you 4 days to do the paint correction and coating. I recently purchased and new escalade and I wanted to get it paint corrected and ceramic coated, I took it to a detailer in my town with good reviews. But my Escalade is a lot bigger than this car, and he only had my car for 24hrs. He did use a different brand than you OPTI-COAT. Car looks great, its been 3 months since the coating, and It's normally really easy to wash, I never use a brush or sponge, just rinse, use high pressure soap, and rinse again, and its clean. Once Spring comes I intend on washing my vehicle at home with the steps of the proper wash from your previous videos. I say all this to ask ..I noticed today, when I washed my car and came home it was as dirty as before I washed it. I don't drive this car often It stays in my garage most days.I have owned it since Oct. bought with 6miles and it just now was 1200 miles. Am I doing something wrong in my washing process or could it be the coating wasn't properly done? Thanks for the videos and any tips you may have! Watched your video when you came to Nashville wish you could do a detail class in Nashville!! We need more guys like you and Wilson Auto detailing!

Hi Angela, Thanks for the kind words. My car was not brand new and needed extensive paint correction. If your car is new and didn't need any correction, it can be done in one day. If you are just pressure washing it and not actually using a mitt, I would say you probably just have a buildup and need to do a proper wash.

Very well done and excellent information, just a few question though. I know that the towels you use to remove the coating are no longer good and need to be thrown away once your done. My question is, how many sections can you do with the same towel or particular section of towel? I assume once you remove a section of coating, that section of towel is also no longer available to use on the next section?

So I have seen a few different techniques while applying cermic coatings. Does it matter how its applied? Or is it dependent on the coating or does it not matter at all? Ive seen how you dod some in circles and ive seen strait lines with a cross hatch pattern and then ive seen a cross hatch strait pattern with a wide spread between the forst then close on second pass to get good coverage. Just a noob question for someone who is taking a lot of time for research to be able to give great quality details. Thanks in advance!

So many more questions but looks are great! Now let the snow fall! What was glass product? I do not see it listed. And for the glass you said 3-coats but how much time between the coats? EXO dries to touch and any tackiness while it cures? Thanks Jason for doing this on a WHITE car, so many of them on the road!

The wheel armour I believe doesn’t work unpainted surface on wheels. I saw you you coat it but I think the Modesta bco6 would work better on the unpainted section. What’s your thoughts James?
