Was just talking about how slept on Florida boxing is with one of my friends. Went on a trip there recently and was surprised at how many good boxing gyms were available.

Great interview and lessons! This is what boxing podcasts are missing. No rants… clickbait. Straight boxing experience, lessons and psychology of boxing.

Tarver is the real deal and he is correct about Beterbiev vs Bivol and I'm a fan of Bivol especially after he destroyed Canelo. Beterbiev reminds me of a Marvin Halger type boxer. The grittier it gets, the better he gets and that dawg really starts coming out. One those type of dudes that will eat 2/3 of your best joints to come back and unleash a brick on you. Bivol is a great boxer and one of the best but Beterbiev is a junkyard dawg, alley cat type of boxer, who can box or brawl. I have seen some of his matches where he is boxing his azz off, like Marvin Hagler. The Marvelous one loved an good opponent who was a skilled boxer. He hated Sugar Ray but he loved him too because Sugar Ray could box and RIP Marvin Hagler like that kinda party too, especially if he beat that azz! Because he would out box his opponent more like dominant his opponent and he was so well conditioned he was ready. It was very hard to outwork him, Beterbiev is like that. You might be a better boxer, more skilled but you are not going to out box and outwork him...that's a problem for Bivol. Bivol reminds me of Ali a bit, finesse, technically sound, smart, works the angles, crisp jabs, footwork is respectable but for a boxer like Beterbiev that's just playing into his wheelhouse. He like opponents like that, he likes that type of challenge from his opponent. Nothing but respectful.

Tarver what did it take; " IT TOOK EVERYTHING" . LOVE IT 💯

I somewhat agree with Target about his take on Beterbiev vs Bivol. I feel like the winner of that fight depends on when the fight occurs. If they fight this year then I agree with Tarver that Beterbiev wins. But if due to politics they don’t fight with until two years from now and now Beterbiev is 40 years old then I think Bivol wins. Based on Beterbievs age time is of the essence to make this fight happen.

I always wanted to interview Tarver ... I always appreciated his voice. It's a damn shame how he was x'd from commenting. His story definitely needs to tell it. I only hope that when they do, eventually, share his story they ask the right questions.
